Have your organization to sign up for the Adopt-A-Highway program. This helps clean up areas of your community and a sign will be put up recognizing your organization. Hope this helps.
you can replace the aerators in senior housing with low flow aerators from www.EcoSupply.net or your local environmental plumbing store. you can also plant trees and gardens in area that need them.
plant trees, plant gardens, pick up litter on highways, roads, build playgrounds, promote green life. and all that. =]
The possibilities are nearly endless.
Car wash to raise money for organization, bake treats and take to assisted living/nursing home & socialize with residents, trash pickup, city beautification: planting plants/weeding/painting over graffitti/mural?, help serve meals at homeless shelter (possibly in shifts because too big a group can cause problems instead of helping), organize a food drive, habitat for humanity, adopt mile of highway etc etc etc
As you can see, they possibilities are endless!

give homeless people food clothes toiletrees etc. you say there are no homeless people around you? you're wrong you just don't know. trust me i do a lot of community service.
