You can try closing the air vents in your room when it's too cold / hot, and only open them when you need to. This will also cause more air to be distributed into other rooms in the house (since it can't go to yours) and maybe it will make THEM uncomfortable enough to lower it!
If that doesn't work, open a window if you have one. The air outside should regulate what is inside. Get a cheap fan and point it out the window, it will pull the cold / hot air out of your room.
OR... if you don't have vents or windows, close your door and put a towel down at the base of it where the air can come in.

A fan and/or a blanket. You don't have to change the temperature in your room, just adjust how comfortable you are..
Closing the vents is the way to go. If it is hot a cool shower will refresh your body for a short time. Also blocking the openings under your doors will prevent the harsh temps from seeping into your climate controlled area. Towels work well and once you are sealed up you can turn on a fan, open a window, or both.
close vents or open more and close some off in house on the way to your room. If it is hot keep it dark and get a fan or spend $ and sneak a window unit.
