Why don't "Global Warming" Experts want to talk about destruction of the Amazon Rain Forest?
Answer:
Because Brazil uses a good portion of that reclaimed lands to produce alternative fuels. Therefore, in this topsy-turvy world, where your spiritual leader consumes fossil fuel like there was no tomorrow yet is given a free pass for his "message", destroyers of millions of acres of rain forest are applauded for leading the world toward the use of alternative fuels.
They've been talking about it for the last 30 years or more. Maybe they realize that 'told you so' is the only phrase some boneheads will actually take notice of...
um, trees pull CO2 off the atmosphere and convert it to sugar releasing oxygen. Oxygen is not a greenhouse gas, CO2 is. Less trees means more co2 and more greenhouse effect.
-im not understanding, globl warming experts do talk about this.
Stop falling for the Global Warming crap. It's not real. IT'S JUST A WAY TO RAISE TAXES.
I guess you just don't understand the meaning of big words like "deforestation". Ever thought of running for senate? You could be the next village idiot elected.
You are a confused mess of a person.Or are you trying to stand tall and defy the facts of global warming or are you just burying your head in the sand.I can identify with chicken little but not the ostrich who buries his head in the sand and says this outside world isnt happening.Chicken little looks to the possibilities but ostriches just goes and hides away. from reality.
They have been talking about it. You just haven't paid enough attention. In fact, one of scientists' primary concerns about global warming is the increase in CO2 and lower surface albedo produced by deforestation. Seems like you need to educate yourself bit more.
They do. It's a factor, just not the most important one. Exhaustive analysis of the various factors by hundreds of scientists here.

"global warming is one of the major threats to rainforest in places like Amazonia"

I agree with those who answered before me - deforestation is taken to account in global warming considerations. As you can see in the following flowchart, deforestation accounts for 18.3% of our greenhouse gas emissions:

It's the biggest single contributor, though still less than one-fifth of our total emissions. It's certainly a very important issue, but that's well-known.
