I'm worried about RECYCLING...?
Answer:
well thats why reduce and reuse is always suggested before recycling because they are most effective way in helping the environment. in your case u can try this. dont buy bottled water in the first place, u can buy a water filter at a nearby store and attach it to your water head and refill those plastic bottles u already have. that way u are reducing the water bottles u buy and reusing the ones u alreade have. if u can find a drop off site for those many bottles u have already then great because mostly likely they give u money for those bottles so it would worth the trouble. i dont know if there is any in your area but u can check online or something. good luck and hope this helped.
take it to a recycling place YOU GET MONEY FOR IT! LIKE $$$
try using the bottles for different things, such as a pencil or tooth brush holder
it sounds weird but its better than throwing them away
Most water bottles are refundable. Just take them to your local bottle depot for return.
y not reuse the bottles like refill them and then chill them.
Search your county's website for plastic recycling. Some cities/counties offer this to keep things out of the landfill. There should be a drop-off bin if they do offer recycling.
recycle or just throw them away or use them again thats about all you can do unless you want to make cat bombs out of them thats fun to
collect them and find a recycling place in your city. Recycling is good for our earth. Takes one person to make a difference. =)
I spoke to my uncle who does the computer work for a paper company who uses recycled material and he told me that recycling is worse than letting stuff decompose on it's own, because of all the pollutants that go into air during the recycling process and then to make it even worse, only like 15% of the recycled material can even be used, the rest goes back into the environment again.I am sure that the plastic recycling process works about the same.Recycling isn't as a great as everyone makes it seem...do your homework.
just collect them in a big cardboard box and drive them to the nearest recycling place at the end of like two months. or drink tap water!
Put recyclable items like cans, plastics, and metals.. I remember when i was younger.. like 10 yrs old i would save these up in garbage bag and once in a i would take them to the recycling center where my mom would drive me to and they even pay you per pound =] i made money and learned to help the enviroment. Check your yellow pages or call the operator from your phone and ask about the recycling center and if you can have their number.. if you call them just get their adress and mapquest it. If you dont really wanan do this then just reuse your plastic bottles, refill them w water from your house and reuse them... you waste less money and help your environment =] Goodluck =]
From now on after you drink the bottled water you bought refill the bottle or bottles with your own tap water. You won't pollute the environment cause you are reusing the bottle, and it's a whole lot cheaper.
Well, to be completely honest the best thing to do is to refill those bottles. I would get gallon jugs and go to your local Circle K and get purified water put in them, then refill those old water bottles.
i think u should give them to a recylce factory.. but u'll need to travel
stop buying bottled water. Not only is it no safer to drink bottled water and not tap water, but the environmental costs of packaging and shipping it are astronomical. If the taste of your tap water is so offensive, try a Britta filter, or buy the water from your local store in a re-usable 5 gallon container. MUCH less expensive, and better for the earth.
you may want to advertise and sell it somewhere like ebay
well the answer is simple when u have enough water bottle go to your towns garbage facility (or dump)and if you have a recycling plant near u just drop it off and they should take care of it even bring it to your local bottle collecting store i think most supermarkets do it
Whenever possible you should avoid drinking bottled water and instead you should drink tap water in a reusable nalgene type bottle. If you must purchased bottled water you should find somewhere to recycle if your state (like many) does not have a redemption law for non-carbonated beverages. Perhaps you could find a local business that has a plastic recycling program and drop your bottles off there. Oh yeah, and I do not recommend that you refill disposable water bottles because of the risk of bacteria and/or the degradation of the plastic bottle. They are only meant to be used once and then disposed of.
Honestly, I used to buy bottled water like crazy too, then at one point I couldn't afford to. My solution to being unable to afford bottled water, yet disliking the taste of tap water, was to take empty water bottles, fill them with tap water, add a squirt of lemon juice, and then toss them in the freezer. In summer, a frozen bottle of water is an amazing thing. Even just refrigerating them though, with the lemon flavour added, it's quite palatable, and as other have pointed out, it's just as healthy.
use the bottles
- for boiled water from your tap.
- crafts?
1. Call your township, they might have a drop off site.
2. Tap water CAN be healthier than bottled water, check your local water board.
3. Refill bottles with tap or rain water to water plants.
4. Buy bulk shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, etc. Rinse out H2O bottles and use to refill with products.
I guarantee there is a recycling center near where you live, a lot of places will actually pay you for your things too. Find out your closest place online. In my town they make you pay for recycling pick-up even if you don't recycle and I think that's a great idea a lot of people complain about it but it's only around 5 bucks a month no big deal.
Buy one of those sports bottles and refill them with filtered tapwater instead of always buying cases of water. Alot cheaper and less bottles 2 worry about.
Stop buying bottled water and get a reusable bottle. That why you can take it with you when you need to and you won't be using so much plastic.
I agree with many, many others on this topic. Cut out the bottled water altogether, and drink the tap. As others have mentioned, there are many ways to make it more tolerable. Bottled water isn't always as healthy as you might think it is. Some brands are better than others. Research the quality of water of your specific tap water compared to bottled. Ever thought of a water softener for your house?
Why not recycle them your self.In Ca.all lot of people do.Call a recycle center near you and ask them what they pay for them, then take them in when you go that way.
It is better to install a water purifier at your place. It will not only cut yours costs, it will save you from the paon of desposing of empty bottles. And you will contribute towards keeping environment 'green' by not generating junk like empty bottles. Alittle change of habits will go a long way. Just try and you will sure be thankful to this advice
And you must know that most of the bottled water is nothing but ordinary water which is filtered and purified. What you pay for a bottle of water will come at 2-3% of its cost when you install a water purifier at you place.
