How can you believe them?

Back in the spring, the global warming propagandists warned us that in the UK we will have the hottest driest summer on record, we are now having one of the coldest wettest summers. If they can't get their predictions anywhere near correct for a few months, how can we rely on their predictions for 10, 20 or 50 years?

Answer:
You say “how can we rely on their predictions for 10, 20 or 50 years”

And the answer is: we can’t. Here’s why…

Put “forecasting” into Google and top of the list will be www.forecastingprinciples.com

This link… http://ff.org/centers/csspp/library/co2w... is a report of the findings of two forecasters who applied the standards of prediction from www.forecastingprinciples.com to the forecasts made in the IPCC’s latest report. They conclude…

“We found that the forecasting procedures that were used violated 72 principles. Many of the violations were, by themselves, critical. We have been unable to identify any scientific forecasts to support global warming. Claims that the Earth will get warmer have no more credence than saying that it will get colder.”

So, all the predictions made by the IPCC are so flawed as to be completely useless.

Well, panic over then!
We can't!
science...the art of science...
Excellent point.
Maybe we should rely on you and your third grade education instead?
Anybody who said that wasn't being very scientific. You can't blame short term weather on global warming. Short term weather can do anything. The global warming scientists will tell you that.

It's actually much easier to analyze and predict over the long run. So it's much easier to predict climate change than to predict the weather.

This graph is helpful. Notice how individual years jump around a lot, but the long term trend is perfectly clear.

Yeah there is no point in listening to scientists, humans will continue to pollute the world until the world is no longer habitable whether they believe it is going to happen or not.

The planet Venus is thought to have been much like Earth at one time, but due to greenhouse gas buildup in its atmosphere it is now a blazing inferno where nothing could live. Earth will one day be much like Venus.
Global warming does not only cause warm weather but adverse effects to other countries that I'm afraid to say crappy weather.

An increase in global temperatures can in turn cause other changes, including sea level rise, and changes in the amount and pattern of precipitation resulting in floods and drought[7]. There may also be changes in the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, though it is difficult to connect specific events to global warming. Other effects may include changes in agricultural yields, glacier retreat, reduced summer streamflows, species extinctions and increases in the ranges of disease vectors.

Fingers crossed for a great summer, you never know we may have a heatwave in November
DUDE!! u can not judge ur overall veiw of things on mistake like that. GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL! and the effects are coming! you my think i sound like a raving lunatic, but i live in Australia. The things that are happening here are crazy. Soon enough the effects will become even more drastic!

anyway, just thought i'd, you know, give you my opinion and facts.
you've just experienced the coldest weather ever, and your complaining about faulty weather forecasting?

I never trust my weather man as they hardly get it right. but if the weather starts getting strange year after year, then maybe, just maybe. we should be concerned with whats causing it, rather then what a weather man predicted.
you cannot so live for today and sod em all have a happy day
i don't know
that is quite true, i wouldn't trust anyone who is trying to predict the future of our planet, no one can see that far into the future, its just not possible.maybe we will have a blazing hot christmas day this year, and we can eventually use our barbeque's!!
I remember back in 1976. We had the longest, driest summer on record. It stretched from April to September. No one predicted climate change then. After 9/11, an American scientist studied the brightness of the skies when all aircraft had been grounded. He noticed the temperature had risen by 3 degrees in just 2 days. If we stop all emissions suddenly we will exasperate the problem 10 fold. Both events are real. Both events are not exact science. They are theories. Saying that, the weather is acting particularly strange over recent years. The longer we put off that its down to freak weather, badly predicted by weather men, we will not be able to reverse the trend. Its our kids future. Would destroy their hopes just because the weather man gets it wrong now and then?.
When you are dealing with a trend over all the world, you cannot go on the experience of one small area. Your local weather is a product of the overall climate modified by local conditions.

Right now California is baking, while we have had a nice weather with rains until well past the normal time, and the weather here so far still is normal summer weather, While California burns and Texas is flooded!!

The need is for the Global Warming folks to get their sensors out on an equitable basis and get average climatic readings so as to average out the highs and lows, the wets and the dries, the differences between cities and countryside. Right now this is not done, much.

And so they go on slanted data to make their predictions. Let alone "smoothing" the data to eliminate known historical events that are "inconvenient" to consider!

But you cannot say for a little eddy in the weather where you live that the climate as a whole is not changing. And it does appear that we are in a natural warming cycle.

The issue is are you convinced by the scientists with the computers working on uneven sensor placements with a biased distribution in Cities, that cannot cope with the LIA or the MWP or sunspot cycles but has to have them smoothed out statistically, to tell you in advance what the climate is going to be?

And by the Consensus who is even now promoting the destruction of the rain forest for oil palms to make big profits quickly?

And do you believe the smears against anybody who opposes them? Not against their data, but against them!

And have you seen their computers ever put out a graph that shows how our sacrificing the rain forests and jungles and their inhabitants, human and animal and insect, of the world, for neat rows of millions of oil palms will change the climate and restore it same as it was in 1100, or in 1950, or 1850, or 1700? Or 10,000 years ago?

And restore the MWP and the LIA to show up on the charts the same as they did in recorded history and tree rings and other indications?

Are you happy with the current result of bulldozing the tropical forests to monocrop something less efficient at absorbing and using CO2 and does not scrub it out of the air as much, because of the Global Warming prediction? And making obscene amounts of money in this destruction?

I find enough apparent errors in the theory and in the political and moral execution to be very wary of the whole issue, including the lockstep science and their branding of those who find evidence otherwise, Good science would check and recheck all the data, not call names at those whose findings do not agree.

So my contention is there is evidence of errors at least in the execution, and I am uneasy at what has to be taken out of history to get these exact predictions, and I also do not agree that we have to be drowned and ravaged and starve, if we prepare logically and sanely for what nature may have in store.

I am sure it will not cost any more to prepare and go along with nature than it will to fight it tooth and nail. And probably be a whole lot more successful in the long run!

And if they are wrong...what do we do then?
I beg your pardon,
They never promised you a rose garden,
Along with the sunshine,
There's gotta be a little rain sometime ...
Instead of trying to deny global warming, blaming others or finding reasons not to take action, look at it like this:

Fact: All our resources are finite.

If we act as if global warming exist, and we were wrong, we will have moved towards a more efficient economy.

If we do nothing, and global warming does exist, the results will be devastating.
IPCC has predicted that rainy areas might have more rain while dry areas may suffer from more severe droughts...

In June we had record temperatures (for that early in the summer) around 30 degrees Celsius in big areas of Sweden for a long period. Now many people in Sweden are suffering from flooding and extreme rain instead. Extreme weather is predicted, I don't see any deviations from that.

Of course you can't tell anything from short term weather or local conditions. You have to see statistical data over a long period and on a more global scale.
ON AVERAGE - not this specific summer - we will have more extreme weather patterns is what 'they' say. And AFAIC this is extreme.

Don't you remember the head melting heat of last summer??

Also go check out the US weather - they are having an extreme record breaking heatwave. - And i mean extreme.
I don't think it was people involved with global warming that predicted that, I think it was the Met Office. They are the people responsible for looking at weather trends.

In terms of climate change, there are many different predictions for what is likely to happen in the future, but they consistently say that if we continue consuming the way we currently are weather in Britain will get more erratic. For me, that's been proven by the blazing hot April followed by the cold and rain of May, June and July.

Many of the future climate predictions haven't fundamentally been based on weather, they've been based on patterns of surface temperature on the earth over the last hundreds and thousands of years. These show consistent patterns between heating up and ice ages, following over similar time frames. The last approximately hundred years has heated up more quickly than any other point on the past scales. We are now off the natural cycle for the earth. This isn't a prediction, this is a past fact.

Global warming "propagandists", as you call them, aren't interested in predicting the weather, that's an aside almost to make people realise that what they're doing has an effect on the world. So no, don't ask them to predict how tanned you'll get in summer 2019, but do look to them to confirm that changes are happening in the world and that we do need to do something about it.
yes, You do realise that co2 emmisions do not cause global warming. Go watch 'The great global warming swindle' and learn the facts
You aren't having a cold summer. In fact your summer has been one of warmest on record. What you are having, as you correctly stated, is a really freaking wet summer. Increased precipitation due to increased temperatures is fully in line with global warming theory. I don't see what your problem is.
Very easy. You cant. They have not got a clue really.
As you can see the whole thing is starting to unravel. Even the great god himself Al Gore is under attack from the IPCC scientists for grossly misrepresenting the facts.
