Is FunQA.com really giving away light bulbs for the Be a Better Planet campaign?

I got an email from FunQA.com that for my first best answer I would receive a free flourescent lightbulb. Did you get this?

I have gotten multiple best answers since this started yet no emails from yahoo about the light bub. Also, every time I click on the link it keeps saying "Get Started" and I'm not sure if I'm really signed up. Anyone else sign up for this? Any info if you know how this works...thanks! *_*

Answer:
Wow, it would be nice. But it sounds like a scam.
I have also gotten best answer emails but no email about the bulbs. Guess we'll just have to sit by our mailboxes and wait until June to find out.
Yes, I received an email.
Got the same info you did; haven't seen anything to the contrary yet, haven't gotten a letter or a bulb yet.

Just waiting.
Funny thing - I was wondering the same thing!! I have not heard or received anything either? Don't know whats up!!
Pop up windows are floating spam nets and so are winning free stuff email spoofs. Anything to get you to fill a survey or buy something to get you on a distribution list.

"Better Planet Campaign" my foot.
I'm starting to wonder myself. I signed up a few days ago. I have gotten a few "best answers" since then but no update emails about how close I'm getting to receiving a bulb. Plus where are you supposed to go to keep track of how many "green points" you have?
I hope it wasn't a scam.
I think the "Best Answer" has to be in the environment category to get a lightbulb. You don't get one for best answers in other categories.
Well here are the rules for FunQA.com promotion for the light bulbs. And it is any best answer you also get green points for answering questions in the environment category.

Yes.
First you have to sign up on the link. If you already signed up, then you don't have to do it again, even though it still gives you the "Get Started" link when you come back. Sometimes it will show you that you're already signed up.
The light bulbs aren't actually going to be shipped to you. They are going to send you coupons for free light bulbs in the mail, but only if their supplies dont run out before you get your coupon assigned to you. The coupons will take about 3 to 4 weeks to reach you.
Same thing for me.

Probably another one of Al Gore's Environment Schemes.

They dont do it in the U.K
I've not heard about mine, either, but I imagine it will take the proverbial "4 to 6 weeks" to "process" a load like they probably have experienced with this campaign. YA is a busy site!
Good luck soon!
Yes, I got an e-mail too. I'm going to be getting a lightbulb and a canvas bag for being in level 2. Only those who are in level 2 before a certain date will receive a canvas bag. There was a link in the email that took me to put in my name to sign up and to receive these gifts.
I received the same in a "freeby" community... I expected it to be for signing up though. Having to be the person some random people think is best isn't really worth it I don't think.
i got the e-mail and signed up but most likely it's like everything else and you gotta sign up for fifty other offers to get a free rickie-dink light bulb.
i too signed up when i reached level 2 & they offered a canvas tote. i am sure they will send to you what you deserve in time, but we must be patient!
there are a lot of us out there both asking & answering questions & it will be a big project for them to get it all out.
it is great though that they are creating awareness to all about the importance of being environmentally conscious & these type of bulbs.
peace!
TOTTALLY SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM, but would be nice.
yes they sure are :)
Yes I believe so !
