How can we stop global warming?
Answer:
Yes i belive that the earth is geeting over heated due to the phenomenon of global warming. which is resulting in melting of ice caps in the poles and raising of sea levels sourcing a serious threat to the cities on sea shore,
the means of protecting earth from this is
1. creating awareness about GW among the wprld population
2 .Having control over burning of fossill fuels, nclear fuels
3. preventing forest fires
4. funding research on pollution free, non exhaustable sources of energy ( fuel cells)
5. Afforestation.
6. educating global population and uniting them take action to supress GM.
7. recycling and reusing materials
8. minimizing the useage of non bio degradable materials.

We can't. It's a natural occurance. I hate when people say that gasoline, smog, etc are causing it. They need to read up on the "problem" instead of giving ignorant answers.
The Stop Global Warming calculator shows you how much carbon dioxide you can prevent from being released into the atmosphere and how much money you can save by making some small changes in your daily life. It’s our hope that the calculator will promote action, awareness and empowerment by showing you that one person can make a difference and help stop global warming.
There are many simple things you can do in your daily life — what you eat, what you drive, how you build your home — that can have an effect on your immediate surrounding, and on places as far away as Antactica. Here is a list of few things that you can do to make a difference.
Use Compact Fluorescent Bulbs
Replace 3 frequently used light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs. Save 300 lbs. of carbon dioxide and $60 per year.

Carpool When You
There are many simple things you can do in your daily life that can have an effect on your immediate surrounding, and on places as far away as Antarctica. Here is a list of few things that you can do to make a difference.
Slaughter all cattle
Cow farts have a greater impact on global warming than idling cars.
Stop breathing
The carbon dioxide we exhale is a contributing factor. Over 6 Billion People = a lot of carbon dioxide!
LOL man made global warming is just a scheme made by a bunch of lunatic socialists.
Global warming is a problem that is in our society that needs to be solved. I believe that America has contributed to global warming in crazy amounts.. Many debate that it is a natural occurance, but even if it is.. It wouldn't hurt to help the enviornment anyways...
If everyone just changed a couple of simple things we do each day we can help make our enviornment better.
For example. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Elevator's contribute to global warming. many do not realize this but the energy being used....
find an alternative energy source.. Of course gas prices wil continue to rise no matter what happens, but if we started carpooling more, or maybe even biking, we could help the enviornment as well as maybe lose a couple extra pounds and help the obesity problems as well..
Of course there are the simple things, such as recycling and such. that would obviously help.
If we stopped cutting down so many trees it would help a great deal. Maybe we should work harder on preserving forests etc, work harder to plant more trees.
The truth is, there is no way to stop this disaster unless everyone changes a small portion of their way of living. It takes time, and dedication. Sure some people will listen, but what about the people cruising in their hummers and smoking cigarettes. Those are little things that could be changed, but they won't stop to listen.. We should focus on that so we can all work together to help our environment.
when i was a wee lad, there were times when i'd sit in the middle of nowhere surrounded by water for as far as i could see. the ocean was so big that it must be indestructible...or so i thought.then.
humanity has managed to destroy the ocean in my life-time, already! the forest isn't even a match for man-kind. now the ozone layer is irreparable. from what i understand, there is no help in sight.
i sit, helpless, and witness humanity, like a ship, 1/4 mile in length, headed for a collision. there is doom on our horizon and nobody really cares. nobody is willing to give up all of those modern trappings in order to reverse this doom.
i can only hope that my natural death occurs before the desperation sets in and we are not safe from each other.
We gotta stop the use of greenhouse gases and find other alternatives.
Make use of solar panels on roofs. We will use less electrical energy from sources
If it weren't for global warming the Earth would be a far different place than it is today? It's been warming since the last Ice Age peaked. Personal opinion says those scientists who say the Earth will be destroyed by global warming are out to lunch. They have no faith in Mother Nature.
Life will go on. Mother Nature has compensated for massive vulcanism, mile wide meteor strikes, and more. Maybe life as we know it will no longer exist, but life will continue on Earth till the Sun goes Nova.
Now we cant stop global warming but we can surely reduce it.
How? According to me each and everyone of us just has to do one thing to stop global warming -
plant a single tree in a year.
its not expensive at all and does not take much time and we dont have to supplement anything that we use daily by doing this.
So I think this is the best way to reduce global warming.
wtf is global warmin smartie
There are things we can do to reduce our contribution to global warming. There are other components to global warming over which we have no control.

That is why there is so much controversy.
We can't. Past temperature maximums have been on the order of 3 degrees Celsius than current global temperatures, and there is no reason to believe that natural warming trends will not eventually reach this level.
We may, however, be able to reduce the extent that it will get even hotter, assuming that man made greenhouse gases will cause this to occur.
But even if there were no man made greenhouse gases in play, global temperatures will almost certainly continue to rise up to past maximums.
IMHO, we would be better served by getting ready for this inevitable event than by all the hand wringing, name calling and finger pointing that charaterizes the current debate.
We can use renewable energy, decrease carbon output, switch to electric cars and recycle!

There is no urgent need to stop global warming. I think there is an urgent need to stop pollution.
Maybe with solar energy
The newspapers nowadays are full of this topic and it is good that they are increasing public awareness on this topic as it is proved that the ice in antarctica is melting very fast and so are
glaciers! Some villages in Orissa coast are already submerged! We all need to be careful in keeping the environment as goobd for future generations by reducing our dependence on so called modern comforts! This generation has caused more damage than those of several past centuries! If our children and grandchildren are to continue to have a healthy environment everyone should contribute his mite! The so called developed World seems to be the biggest culprit!
go for TREES FOR THE FUTURE.
We can't. But it's something fun for liberals to blame on the conservative party.
As individuals there are many things we can do to help. Change all lightbulbs to flourscent bulbs, Take public transit, carpool or bike to work, just to name a few.
As citizens of this country we need to force our legislators to focus on the issue of global warming. All new cars sold today should be fuel efficent or alternative fuel vehicles. It is unacceptable we see more hummers and suvs on the road than we do hybrids.
No
This is Easy, Put up a sheild to block Gamma Rays from the Sun. While the Suns temprature remains constant, the gamma rays do not. Solar Flares emit huge amount of Gamma Rays - as you can read at NASA's site, all the planets of our Solar System have increased tempratures.
put out the Sun.
get rid of Al Gore!
Get China, Africa, England, and the other nations of the world involved. America is not the only nation that is polluting the air and causing global warming. Also, get the gas producers to clean up their act instead of buying off politicans to skip over them. They can produce more economical cars that use less gas but it might cut into their bottom line which they are unwilling to do.
Don't freak out about it so much. When I was in high school the going hype was that we would be completely out of oil by the turn of the century and we would already be experiencing mass extinction.
As just one small example of how humans have a relatively tiny impact on the atmosphere, consider that volcanos spew tons of poisonous gases into the atmosphere with every eruption and when laval flows into the ocean the resulting steam is pure sulfuric acid. Consider also that forest fires were once not controlled by humans and spread across hundreds of square miles. Finally, think about how much methane is given off by every dead plant, animal, fish, and bug. Humans are not as terrifying as we like to think we are.
However, none of this means we shouldn't be smart about our treatment of the environment. If you really want to have the most direct impact on the environment as possible, study hard in school, become an engineer and create a sensible replacement for fossil fuels.
