Random question to do with flies.?

a few years ago, around the south east of england, there was like a 'hoverfly attack' as i call it haha. everywhere you went, there were swarms of them and at the beach, the steps were black with dead flies. there were thousands and thousands of them. the thing is though, nobody believes me! they think i was dreaming. it's not a big deal, but they think i'm nuts and i know for a fact it happened. back me up here, haha.

I seem to remember something like that but I thought it was more south west area when I was on holiday. I remember the car being covered by bugs, it makes me itch just thinking about it.

maybe there was an execsive amount of dead material, fish, wild animals, animal manure. who knows.

you know.it might have been termites. but other than that i believe it could happen because it alto happened to me.

I live in the south east - I remember having those horrible flies with the stupid legs? Can't remember what they are called but they were everywhere and they all hung out together in little gangs.

I live in Leicester and I can remember as a child we would have "flying ant day" And yes people think I'm mad when I mention it but once a year we would have one day when the whole street would be buzzing with flying ants. I don't know their proper name or even if they are actually flying ants. But it used to freak me out too.
