So if 2/3 of carbon dioxide production is from natural sources, why are we concerned with our measly 33.3%?
Answer:
Because the natural sources of CO2 are almost exactly balanced by the natural sinks of CO2. Our excess CO2 production overwhelms the natural sinks, causing the level of CO2 in the atmosphere to rise. This leads to an increase in the greenhouse effect, which causes the surface temperature of the earth to increase.
Further, that excess CO2 in the air stays around for centuries, and continues to cause global warming during that entire time. The fossil fuels you burn today will affect the planet long after you're dead and buried.
hehe. because nature functions perfectly at that 2/3 release of CO2. our extra is more than plants and water can convert/fix/dissolve.
First off, where did you get that figure?
This is why we're concerned about our CO2 emissions:

We are concerned with 33.3% because that can be the difference between the human race surviving for 36 more years or 50.
That's like asking "if 2/3 of the people in the world die from natural causes, why should we be concerned about 1/3 being murdered?"
I don't know for sure but it sure seems that you have your numbers in reverse.
Anyway where did you get those numbers?
because global warming isn't real .........
IT"S A FAKE
its 33.33% more than it should be, also its not just CO2 which causes gobal warming methane is one of the worst aswell as other greenhouse gases. don't believe anyone who says there is no proof for gobal warming because there serverly missinformed there is nearly no sciencist which says that gobal warming is not real
our measly 33% comes from spent fuel and is concentrated in a defined populated area. Jets are less of a problem when you consider the number of travelers and the distance traveled. Jets blow away the cars emissions of one driver one car.
There are a great many natural sources and sinks for carbon dioxide. But the present global warming is (mostly) the result of man made CO2 from burning fossil fuels.
There is a natural "carbon cycle" that recycles CO2. But it's a delicate balance and we're messing it up.
Look at this graph.

The little squiggles are nature doing its' thing. CO2 falls a bit during summer when plants are active, and rises during the winter. The huge increase is us, burning fossil fuels. The scientists can actually show that the increased CO2 in the air comes from burning fossil fuels by using "isotopic ratios" to identify that CO2. The natural carbon cycle buried carbon in fossil fuels over a very long time, little bit by little bit. We dig them up and burn them, real fast. That's a problem.
Man is upsetting the balance of nature. We need to fix that.

Warming of the atmosphere isn't caused by carbon dioxide emissions. It's the other way around. As temperatures rise, the oceans give off more co2. And I AM denying Man Made Global Warming. Notice how much money the Goracle is making from this nonsense. Wake up people. People would rather go to see a train wreck than the circus.
That is why global warming is mostly of natural causes we did not have much to do with it.
Human contribution is about 5% of the natural total. All the folks who jumped in assuming 33.3% was an accurate number - BUSTED! Congratulations, you are now exempt from serious discussions concerning Global Warming!
And that 5% is kind of misleading. That's terrestrial emissions. If you include the oceans, you can knock it down to about 2.5%. But truth be told, we don't yet understand the oceans. Did you know that the oceans contain 8 times the total amount of carbon dioxide than the equivalent of burning every single bit of known fossil fuels - even the ones we don't have the technology to get to a vast amount of those reserves.
What effect does the thermohaline conveyor have on circulating these CO2 rich waters to the surface? If seas truly are warming, then just how much MORE CO2 is being put into the atmosphere?
