Where can I get a job as a climatologist?

I was just looking at the performers list for Live Earth and suddenly realized that I had the same qualifications as they did to lecture the world about global warming. Namely, the ability to sing offkey and play three chords on my guitar.

I will not forget the summer of 1998 when Florida was in the midst of some hellacious forest fires. Al Gore flew down there for a photo op and in his 3 second spot on the evening news, stood in front of a smokey background and shouted into the camera, "It's Global Warming!".

I'm sorry, if you can play three chords you are overqualified, now maybe if you had a Southern Irish accent you might stand a chance.

When will entertainers realize they are simply paid monkeys? Don't get me wrong - I love music, films, TV, etc., but I don't use these losers as my role models. Some are more highly paid than others, but their success doesn't give them expertise in a totally unrelated field.

They're not claiming to be climatologists. It's like when musicians play a concert to raise money and awareness for autism or poverty or any other kind of problem. They're not doctors or economists, either. They're simply drawing attention to a known problem.
