I think the Day after Tomorrow just about spelled it out, you know the movie. I have seen the PBS specials about polarity changes and the possibility of another cleansing Ice Age.
I agree with the previous poster on "The Day After Tomorrow." The weather will be extreme in all ways, not just high temperature. All kinds of severe storms are predicted, as well as severely cold weather. Some scientists have predicted that insurance companies could go out of business because they won't be able to pay for the huge amounts of damage.
