Have any of you ever heard of cellulose ethanol?
And what do you think?
Answer:
I have heard of it . I am currently writing an article on gasahol regarding its effects on classic cars.so I have been researching. It certainly makes sense to use a plant that we are not using for food. Switch grass sounds good since even cattle do not eat it. But it is expensive to make ethanol from.
The government is giving in to the farmers who grow corn and our fuel is getting more and more expensive.
Seems promising, but needs huge investment to scale up and reduce cost. We can't afford corn ethanol, since it takes a lot more land for the crop production.

Cellulosic ethanol is ethanol made from cellulose as opposed to being made from plant sugars or starches. This is the Holy Grail of ethanol and will be just about as difficult to bring home.
