Andrew O: What does it mean now that the NASA guy made?

skeptical comments regarding GW?

Answer:
It's probably not good for his career. I hope it doesn't put people off of NASA. NASA does good work with space programs and collects a lot of data for evaluation. I would hope they stick to science and stay away from policy and politics. Scientists usually stink at politics.
Not much. Mr. Griffin did agree that global warming was both real and human caused, but baffled most climate scientists when he stated that it wasn't anything we should worry about. In fact I believe James Hanson was supposed to have a conference with him sometime soon. Michael Griffin may have thought his remarks would only be taken as his own personal opinion, but he failed to realize that the so called 'skeptics' would immediately jump all over it and say that it was NASA's official stance on the issue.
He Shall Be Expelled From The Church Of Global Warming And Flogged With Rosie O'Donnell's G-String.

He Shall Be Forced To Wander The Earf For The Rest Of His Days, And All Who Look Upon Him Shall Mock His Stupidity.

He Shall Not Be Invited To Any More A-List Parties On The DC Cocktail Circuit.

He Shall Never Find Him Self Before Another Television Camera Again, That He Should Not Have A Forum To Spread His Heresy.

Let His Name Be Not Spoken Again.

In Algore's Name We Pray To Mother Gaia,

Amen.
It makes the scientists such as Hansen lose credibility in the eyes of his peers because it appears as if he can't tolerate dissent from his narrow-minded view. Science is about the quest for truth. Disagreements should be analyzed and rebutted but they shouldn't be silenced.
nothing, because it really isn't NASA's job to fix the environment, and that is what he meant.
its too bad right-wingers have to take evrything out of context.
Since he's a Bush administration political pal, not a climaologist, it means nothing--except he aparently didn't get the memo that Bush has flip-flopped on the issue--AGAIN.
