Why do some people think the Live Earth concerts have anything to do with whether global warming is real?
The same goes for pretending that Al Gore's personal life has anything at all to do with whether global warming is real.
Forget about Al Gore. Learn the science. Get a clue. These are good places to start.

Although to answer your question, they're just plain old a-holes. That and science is not taught well enough in our public schools.
They held it during the summer so that IF it is blazing hot at one of the venues, then they can "blame" it on someone. *shrug* This is better than holding the event during the winter because if it gets too cold, no one is going to protest the COLD! *laughter*
Haha, seriously. Al Gore doesn't equal Global Warming and the Live Earth Concerts aren't proof of Global Warming, and Chevy sponsorship doesn't change facts.
I agree that Al Gore should be ignored as well as the glitteratti that pretend to be for the little guy as they drive their corporate jets here and there. It is also not wise to apply scientific credentials to politicians like Gingrich. When you talk about global warming, it is important to not forget the term anthropogenic (or man caused) so that there is not a mistake in any proposed "solution." The alarmists want to have it both ways. Any change is an excuse used to reduce capitalism. They may use a smattering of science but it is generally distorted . I do agree that most of the global warming debates belongs in the politics section or mythology.
