My soap is made fro organic Palm Oil - am I responsible for the deaths of orangutans?

Or does organic palm oil come from somewhere else?

Answer:
The Orangutans, who live in Borneo and Sumatra, are numbering 20.000 and this is 30 - 50 % less then just ten years ago. The main reason is habitat loss. This is due to logging, and agriculture, particularly palm oil plantations. About 83 % of the worlds Palm oil comes from Malasiya, and Indonesia.
did`nt quite come off did it,,,
yes - you murdering cow
I see, well... Thanks for the points.
i'm a little lost;-(
Yea I take the points. thanks
Huh? I'm sure the orangutangs are happy.
im confused.
Yes this is causing you not exactly you but you an anybody else who buys the product the murderer of orangutans, so I feel bad for you people and how you are so insensensitive, and how you can kill innocent animals like that.
yes you miserable killer
The population trend of Clydes have had a significant decline over the past few years. As stated previously. Too many people have fallen into the "if it sounds exotic it must be good" fad. So you are not alone in the murderous spree of exotic animals do to habitat loss. There are a number of remedies to not only ease your conscious, but to make an impact on habitat destruction...stick to the good ole' soap you can get at the market. Dove is excellent, Dial it's self is also murder, it's a total anti bacterial, kills everything.
Then again there is another solution to your soap problem. Go live with the critters, quit using soap all together and join the fight for habitat preservation on the front line. Until you change your ways, you might as well send a chain saw to help with the deforestation!
yes they do.please stop buying these products as soon, in our life time there shall be no orangutans left in the wild. :(
It doesn't matter if it says 'organic' or not...

1. Most 'organic' products are not at all as the only ones that can be labelled as such with validity are subject to very strict monitoring by authorities that are responsible for certifying that they're genuinely organic - I can't see which genuine authority would back a Palm Oil product, unless it's the stinking Malaysian gov!

2. It's labelled 'organic' to convince people like you that it's a 'nice' product you can buy with a smile.

3. All Palm Oil plantations, whether 'organic' or not, inc those claiming to be 'sustainable' crops all exist because native forest has been destroyed to clear the land to grow it.

Palm Oil is inside MANY products - even our bread - it's ALL bad!
Oh my goddess, i didnt know that! How can the products i buy claim to be vegan if an animals habitat is destroyed in the process?

I suppose i had better stick to hemp oil for body washing and vinegar for washing up? I often use vinegar as a cleaning product but was buying non toxic washing up liquid and toilet cleaner.

Thanks for the question.
