Global warming commercial.?
Answer:
Buddy if you are that gullible, then you are a lost cause anyway. Go ahead and drink the liberal koolaid, and end it all. ol Al,, will be happy you carbon footprint has shrunk.
Perhaps it could inspire you to work towards change.
Most scientists agree that we need to start reducing our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions within the next decade. This is because the longer we wait, the greater the atmospheric GHG concentrations will be, and the bigger and faster our reductions will have to be. The sooner we act, the easier it will be.
Projections as to how much we need to reduce our emissions vary. I've seen anywhere from 50-90% by the year 2050, and I've seen 60% by 2030. However, to meet any of these goals we need to start reducing our emissions very soon. This is where the 10 years comes in - it's just a rough estimate, but if we wait longer than a decade it will become extremely difficult to meet these reductions.
Well if it is true, we may as well just accept it, because you aren't going to make significant changes in 10 years. And even if WE did, China would make up for any reductions. So we should just accept that the climate WILL change.
Good news: There is hope! Don't get discouraged - get involved!
Start looking around for the "right things" and you will see so many signs of the world waking up! Yes, this is still a serious and very difficult task ahead of us, but there is more awareness now and the leaders in our world are waking up (even Bush, that if anything must be a miracle!)
I haven't seen the commercial you're talking about but I guess what the message is is that we need to START changing in less than 10 years - and the world has already started. A bit slow in the start up though, but that's nothing remarkable and just what to expect.
I was discouraged as well, but now I know there is so much things we can do and so many solutions available to make it better. And even if it would get worse it will not mean the end of the whole world or humanity.
Hang in there! We can fix this!
Yeah I saw it, chap was trying to sell secondhand Wind turbines at the time, I prefer Monty Python myself, it is more believable
Just think! Only 10 years until the Rapture.
