You could buy a headband or a hat. Do you have a watch? You can get a really nice watch. Get a new outfit. No change is complete without a new outfit. New shoes...maybe sandals. You can get some really cute sandals nowdays! Toe socks...don't know how far you want to go but they are cute...most of all remember if they are true friends it won't matter what you wear...it just matters that you are there with them. If it's that short you could use 'shockwaves' and spike it up or move it around a bit.
try using accessories with different outfits. use a little make up and maybe use some styling gel to spike your hair. try having some highlights in your hair. or have your hair layered if its really thick
