Please provide me with some information on biodegradable and non-biodegradable materials and their utility.?
Answer:
Most biodegradable products are made of paper. They have a chemical that reacts with water and will quickly break down to be absorbed into the ground, safely.
There are some plastics that have very thin membranes that will do the exact same thing.
Most biodegradable products are utilized in items that are common in use, but don't get used very long. Napkins, fast food bags, grocery bags, etc. Most items that have long use, or will be used more than just one time, (like carrying your food from the fast food joint to your car), are more sturdy and do not contain as much biodegradable aspects, to keep them around for longer time.
Non-biodegradable materials are very common. Steel, plastic, rubber, etc. Non-biodegradable materials are used where it would not be beneficial for the product to break down. They are intended to last for a long time and hold their structural integrity.
Hope that helps.
