Do you have your own idea on how to stop global warming?
My boyfriend has an idea that I think is really good.
It has to do with refreezing water at the caps.
Another idea is with hybrid plants. If botanists can create a tree that blooms 4 types of apples, then surely they can create trees that absorb more carbon dioxide that normal. Just an idea. what is yours.?

You can't stop global warming, but you can reduce the impact humans may have in speeding it up global warming.
The best way for us to reduce CO2 emissions, is to reduce our dependency on fossil fuel.
Not trying to down your idea on re-freezing the ice caps, but the technology simply does not exist. Even if we had such technology, the energy requirements would be more than what we could deliver.
According to scientist in Canada we need to be more worried about global cooling than global warming.
The Sun's cycles are significantly more important than our actions. Just remember that man only produces about 3% of all the CO2 in the world yearly. It should put things in perspective.
Really take the time to read the studies that are out there. You will see that there are more questions than answers. In 1993 people thought they had it all figured out, then the real research began and now the more they look at the issue, the more respected scientist really are certain that man has a much smaller impact than is modeled.

but in general, they also die faster, and release that carbon again.
some time ago, i considered ocean plants that grew fast, and sank when they died, taking the carbon to the bottom with them. but there are a couple problems:
- plants don't tend to sink.
- if we manage to stabilize the environment, do we still want those plants depleting the supply of CO2?
the worst thing we might do is implement a solution that creates the opposite problem, which we cannot stop. that'd be a serious problem.
You act as if global warming is a bad thing.

Conserving all natural resources and limiting the expansion of human populations everywhere.
To help stop global warming i would suggets that every person should get rid of their car and buy a bicycle.
If global warming exists it's going to be difficult to stop without reducing the population of the planet.
All those people who used to be called 'third world' want cars, television sets, electric lights and refrigerated air condition, same as Americans.
I've tried and tried, but I can't think of any way to reduce the population of the planet to, say, a million humans, without killing someone.
And I'm opposed to killing human beings, generally speaking.

1. when i'm old enough to buy nd drive a car i will get a hybrid - i will keep my promise
2. have compact fluorescent bulbs all over my house even if they don't look good
3. buy as many energy star products as possible
4. have a green landscape
5. many more to think of on the way...
Yes stop talking gibberish and get out and REALLY look at the real data. Then if everyone would actually do this global warming would stop because everyone would know its just monkey scat. Really good ideas. Doing them now that would be really coool woow.

This is a ponzi scheme. Don't throw away your money on this. Fusion simply releases energy; it does not produce the mechanical force needed to move the cylinders in an internal combustion engine. If someone could so easily produce fusion, this would be one of the worst way in which to harness the great energy released.
And Lost - concentrate your efforts on conserving energy and resources, use renewable energy, endorse nuclear, now! There are many ways to work towards the same goals as global warming prevention but are just as effective even if global warming turns out to be incorrect. Remember, wasted efforts = wasted energy = bad for the environment. Aim for the best of both worlds!

There is only one way to stop global warming, and that is to regulate the amount of energy the Earth gets from the sun.

How to stop global warming. Undo the reasons capitalist society exploit resources for profit. Become regional thinkers, and local consumers. End imperialist militarism, and marketing completely. The grass isn't greener, it just had a batch of chemicals and drinking water poured over it. Stop over fishing, end corporate factory farming and livestock/poultry production. Veganize.
