I don't believe it's a money maker. More like a money breaker. I do know it's a farce.
Global warming is real. Forget the political stuff. Just look at the numbers and the science.
The data clearly shows that, starting about 40 years ago, man's contribution overwhelmed the natural forces that controlled climate before.
This includes the effect of the Sun, and there are many more scientific studies showing the same thing.

Our plan started back in the 1960's when scientists first began reseraching this... we thought, "HEY, wouldnt it be great to trick people into thinking that vaporizing coal and oil would SOMEHOW pollute the atmosphere?" I mean, it's a stretch to think that hundreds of billions of automobiles would have ANY effect on the environment... luckily there are people who actually believe us!! How stupid are they?! MUWAHAHAHA!
My fellow conspirators and I even got President Bush Senior to believe it! As well as ALL of the world's government scientists too. It's been 50 years and although we haven't figured out where the profit is in all of this lying , it's gotta be there somewhere, right? I mean, since you're such a genius, maybe you could suggest the profit in lying about the need for a cleaner environment as well as less dependence on foreign oil. I do feel bad for those poor, honest, god-fearing people at ExxonMobil. They put so much work into making us a gluttony of energy. Real charity workers, those oil and coal companies.
But damn it... you caught us. I guess all those years of listening to Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh made you smarter than 99% of the scientists out there... those greedy, evil scientists.

Definitely a money maker. A total fake. The only reason people think it's actually real is the fact that politicians are not showing the other side of the story. In fact, data shows that our temperatures right now are actually average compared with some of the other temperatures in the past. About a thousand years ago, during the Medieval Warming period, temperatures were on average 2-3 degrees hotter than they are now. Besides, politicians also conveniently forgot to tell us that in the 1700's to around a hundred years ago, we were actually in a mini ice age called the Little Ice Age. So of course our temperatures are going to be higher now than in an ice age. Right now, we're only beginning to come out of an ice age. Yeah, also, in the 70's or somewhere around there, we were afraid of going into an ice age. It's ironic that now, we're afraid of the earth heating up. That only goes to show that doom and gloom is a money maker.
Oh, btw, the sun is the cause of natural warming, its rays weaken and intensify every few centuries or so, that's what caused all these warm periods.
Idiots saying it's the intensity of the sun varying? Amazing... cause you'd think that would have shown up on the large number of measuring devices aimed at detecting solar radiation that we have, including many on satellites. Guess what though, that hasn't happened... so are you now going to suggest that something is throwing all of our readings of solar radiative intensity off by just the right amount or are you going to admit that you were in fact wrong?
It's a money maker. Bob (above) likes to throw out his long diatribes about the science but the science works both ways and people are starting to see though the smoke and mirrors.
