Control of wastage in industries?

Answer:
Hi

Wastages can be categorised in different ways. I mean you should select the boundaries in an industry.

For instance , it can be at manufacturing level, in administrative offices.

for the case of Manufacturing, it can be raw material, water, electricity,.

For offices, it may consist of extensive utilisation of paper, ink .

For the control of wastage in any Industry I would recommend the following steps:

1. Select the boundary for the waste control purpose, i.e categorised in terms of different sections.

2. Indentify the different waste generation through an audit.

3. Quantify the amount of wastage.

4.Provide solutions to reduce the amount of wastage by setting targets.

Wastage minimisation is all about good house-keeping.
Adopting cleaner production technologies in industries is the only way towards wastage reduction in any organisation or industry.
Industry wastes so much water that we cannot make a much of an impact as individuals because their waste is so high.
