Can you help me with ideas on what to do on reuse, recycle and reduce?

i need items can do and display to people when making awareness on the 3rs and sustainable development nd youth.

Answer:
everything is recyclable except batteries& light bulbs
place 5 containers in your "space" marked, glass, tin, aluminimim.paper, and plastic.. a 6th container may be added for organic material and a 7th for unrecycleable products
all people should recycle.. and more recycling centers should be made available
1. Start by getting two 'blue boxes' to put near your garbage ... one to put your bottles, cans and other containers (glass, plastic and metal) and another for paper materials. If you don't have recycled material pickup in your area, take these two boxes to your local recycling centre whenever they fillup.
2. Get a stainless steel compost jar (you can get them at Lee Valley) for your kitchen to throw your vegetable clippings, fruit peels and other vegetable matter (no meat products or animal oils!) and use these in your garden as fertilizer. Compost them in a composter, or just dig them into your flower garden.
3. Once you get in the habit of dividing your garbage into containers, paper and compost, recycling is almost as easy as what most people do: throwing everything in the garbage. My wife and I recycle close to 50 percent of our garbage this way.
reuse:
we can take things and reuse them into common things we use around the house. We can use cans for penny jars, pencil holders, to put nails in, or misc items. We can use milk jugs as containers for juice or water for camping or hiking or everyday use.

recycle:
paper, cardboard, cans, glass, plastic, newspaper, books like phone books can all be recycled. There are places in stores to take plastic bags that are not biodegradable now and you can take used car oil, batteries and many other items to sites to get rid of them properly as well.

reduce:
reduce the amount of waste you use...use natural products as much as possible when doing cleaning...baking soda does wonders believe it or not and makes things shine like never before...use vinegar to clean windows with newspaper to wipe off, then you are not using harmful chemicals which in return helps in the longrun. Reduce the amount of water you use...turn it off when brushing your teeth instead of letting it run!
join freecycle.org
reduce comsumption by obtaining needed items
reduce or recycle what would go in landfill by giving them away
and reuse by gifting them also..one persons trash is anothers treasure
Well there are things you can do to help reduce the amount of harm you are causing the enviroment, you can do this by offsetting your carbon on websites such as; www.co2debt.com . On these sites you are able to prevent climate change by funding ethical reforestation projects. I personally found that www.co2debt.com was the best site for this because of their strong relationships with other non-profit organizations
you can reuse plastic bottles( onli once or twice) and then recycle it..cans(recycle)...the skins of fruits( put into soil to be made into fertilizer)
realcycle is a good place to start
When looking at waste, the three r's always crop up, but it's actually a part of what's called Waste Management Hierarchy.

Reduction
Re-Use
Recovery
(recycling)
(composting)
(energy)
Disposal

Now, following this list, the best solution of all is not to use a product in the first place. This doesn't necessarily mean going without, but can mean buying fruit and vegetables loose and without being shrink-wrapped to a styrofoam tray. Next time you're out shopping, try to choose products with less packaging.
Next we have re-use, if you can re-use something without having to 'process' it then it still keeps things pretty simple... Next time you have an empty water bottle fill it from the tap, in most places in the developed world tap water has to meet much higher standards than bottled water (but if it has a bad taste, buy a water filter jug).
Now we have the recovery part which is where it gets less efficient. Waste can be collected and recycled, but it all takes a lot of effort and is much more expensive than re-use or reduction. Composting takes time, space and energy and burning waste for energy has its own implications too.
Of course, disposal means different things depending where you live. Here in the UK we dig a big hole and bury most of our waste which is a problem as we're running out of places to dig!
Think of the humble cardboard box... Best of all, don't use it in the first place... Next best, use it again for something... Next best, collect it, process it into fibre, make a new paper product and the worst, dig a hole and bury it.

Good luck with your project.
