Can you tell me positive things about Global Warming?

ok, i maybe didnt word that right...but im so sick of hearing all the problems. Why not tell me our progress. What we've done, how far we've gotten. how we're improving.

or not at all...?

Answer:
ONCE AGAIN.

Global Warming MEANS "World Wide Warming!" It is ONLY A Political Term = NOT based in Real Science!

The EARTH is covered by "Three Quarters WATER!" Basic Science, it takes ONE-Btu to raise One Cubic Centimeter ONE Degree Centigrade!

HOW many "Gazillion Cubic Centimeters are there ONLY on the Surface of Planet Earth COVERED by 3/4 Water?"

HOW many Btu's would it take TO RAISE THE SURFACE TEMPERATURE ONE DEGREE?

DO THE MATH!

And, were are the Million TEMPERATURE MEASURING SITES on the Many Oceans THAT TELL US THAT THE OCEAN TEMPERATURES ARE RISING? Not!

Oh yes, POLAR temperatures have varied LESS Than one degree in the past 100-Years. Noticed I said VARIED, = NOT RISEN!

Thanks, RR
it's not as bad as Al Gore would like you to believe. Talk about fear mongering. More and more scientists are coming out against the notion that it's manmade (ie. explain the rising temperature of the Mars surface, please). Even if it is warming - it's very slight and is virutually non existant if you track from differing dates.
Global warming is a lie.
its not so bad today as it will be in a few years.but it help our comfortable lifestyle continue
Al Gore is a idiot. Iam super cerial when I say that even if you eliminate everything on the earth that would create greenhouse gases there would still be greenhouse gases created naturally
thawing ice means more water for consumption. tundras of canada warm up making room for more industry. but i'd rather save the environment. and global warming is happening. its not just warming like some people like to think. its the term used to describe the unusual events of nature occuring. longer droughts, bigger floods. etc., but the earth is warming at the same time. the kyoto protocol was a big step in deterring all of this but it will not be enough. many countries have pledged to become carbon neutral and subsidize green energy. as of now thats the best we've done. new technologies are being researched but won't be implemented for years unless a ver pro environment president is elected who is willing to pay billions to save the planet than fund a war in iraq.
global warming is unavoidable, in it's media context. it has happened naturally namy times in the earths history.

then again, each time it caused one fo the five mass extiinctions in our world. oops.
President Bush (alleged destroyer of the Environment) is actually more Environmental than Al Gore (alleged Champion of the Environment).

Did you know the Bush ranch in Crawford, Texas has Solar Power on it?

But guess what Gore's home in Tennesee is a Gas guzzler.

Prince Charles who is Mr. Environmental himself is actually more in line with his preaching than Al Gore.

For instance Prince Charles decided to cancel using Private Planes and ride Public Planes as part of reducing Pollution.
The only positive thing is that the people are realizing the importance of pollution, the rise in the number of tsunamis, earth quakes, floods in Asia , the dwindling population of animals and new diseases.
Ahh Nat.gw causes tsunamis?Earthquakes?

Global warming means that people who live in normally frigid climates will be able to grow more of their own food just like they used to during the last warming period. That seems like a good thing to me. The Idea thats it is man made is pure BS.
we aren't as far as we should be. but since al gore has spread awareness about global warming more people recycle, put in c.f. light bulbs, not wasting anything like water and raising money towards global warming efforts. many large cities are going green or greenER. like putting gardens on the roofs of business buildings, recycling more, putting in windmills and solar panels in to produce electricity. we are promoting more public transportation and coming out with more hybrid models. that is what we are doing but there is so much more that we could and definately SHOULD be doing. more people should be volunteering and saving energy. even though many people dont believe in global warming it is so easy to help and they act like its hard. or that there is no proven way to stop it . but the hundreds even thousands of scientists that have proven it and believe in it must be lying. but they are right. and some of soceity is just in denial and need to open their eyes. but we are improving slowly and there is alot happening that we are helping.

AND JEFF M. IS A PURE IDIOT DONT LISTEN TO HIM.
The price of natural gas is not inflating due to the decreases in demand for heating.
here's one positive thing about global warming

its not real!
The earth is warming, but man isn't the problem.
Since we can't stop it, the horror stories will continue.

Ten years after Kyoto and they have achieved less than a 1% reduction in emissions. Their carbon management plan is like a little kid moving the dinner he doesn't want to eat around on his plate, hoping his parents will think he has actually made progress.

Positive things:

Scientists are becoming more certain all the time that humans are the primary cause of the current global warming.

More people are becoming aware as well.

More people are trying to do something, like using CFLs and buying hybrids.

More politicians are making global warming an important issue, like John Edwards who has a plan to reduce America's greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2050.

Progress is slow, particularly with Bush in the White House, but hopefully progress will accelerate as global warming continues to accelerate.
Cold-related deaths will drop as temperatures rise. Soon, you don't need your coat in Alsaka!!
SOME POSITIVE ASPECTS

● Melting permafrost releases potential agricultural land
● Some crops grow better in warmer conditions
● Increased rainfall in some places mitigates the effects of drought
● Decrease in cold related deaths
● More condusive environments for certain species
● Acidification of the oceans beneficial to some marine life
● Reduction in power consumption for heating

PROGRESS

Many individuals and organisations are taking steps to reduce energy consumption, recycle and reuse where possible. This is helping but it's not preventing global warming, just slowing down the effects of climate change a little.

Many governments around the world have implemented a range of measures, most are based on reducing carbnon emissions. In some cases this has seen legislation introduced to limit emissions, in others it's providing financial incentives to reduce emissions.

Opinion in the last few years has changed dramatically and the 92% of individuals, every government, every major oil company and every major organisation now acknowledges the seriousness of global warming and climate change. Progress in the future should be much easier and more rapid.

Every major oil company in the world now accepts global warming is a reality, many are diversifying into renewable energy sources. Similarly, many motor vehicle manufacturers are producing ever more efficient and environmentally sound vehicles with the Japanese and Europeans leading the way.

These advances in technology and production of 'green' goods and services has been a resounding economical success. The countries that have 'gone green' are exporting goods and services throughout the world to supply the demand, countries that haven't adapted are getting left behind and their economies are suffering.

Every government now acknowledges the seriousness of climate change, whilst not all of them are doing a great deal they have at least admitted their is a problem. Likewise, the CEO's of the world's 1000 leading corporations have declared that climate change is "the most critical problem facing humanity".

Scientifically there has been much research conducted into ways to mitigate climate change. Several schemes have been suggested, some are in the early stages of development, some have been successfully tested as prototypes.

There has been an awful loot of talking and discussion of the problems but this needs to be manifested into action, something which has been lacking so far.

So yes, improvements have been made, new technologies have and are being developed, we know how and why climate change occurs, we know what needs to be done, we have some potential solutions. I think the next few years will see a much greater emnphasis on taking positive actions.
one positive thing about global warming-girls are wearing less clothes.
yes...just a little more time and this tormented planet will be able to finaly get rid of us.
