I belive it is. but what I dont belive is false is that we will run out of oil.
I work in the oilfield and can see old wells dieing (please note I am talking VERY old wells form the 60's and 70's.)
some of the new wells doing in in the deeper waters make more oil in a day than the platform I am on now has made in the last five years though.
YEP , all the hooplah distraction is . There's been gradual global warming for a long long time - however the scams & movies going around are just that . For one thing - where are they getting these figures from hundreds of thousands of years ago ? There was no Farmers Almanac back then ..

It's real in that the sun's output does vary, as does the earth's orbit. The last episode occurred during the Middle Ages, and we somehow survived that one. But today's Liberal politicians have decided this is a great opportunity to increase their power, and incidentally their bank account, at our expense. While we do need to switch away from Big Oil to Switchgrass Ethanol, it's not because of GW, it's because it's the economically sensible thing to do. Please read my blog on this topic, and complain to your congerss person about their actions in this regard.
Well, using some common sense. Since we know that carbon dioxide is the gas responsible for the greenhouse effect, and we also know that it is added into the atmosphere continually by not only natural processes, but also pollution. Then it stands to reason that rising levels of carbon dioxide could lead to more heat being retained, and an increase in temperature. The temperature would only have to come up just a little, to cause all kinds of negative consequences. It may not be the only cause, but I definitely think it could be one contributor. You have to take action, and not take the chance.
No, global warming is not a farce. Take a little time to do some research and you'll realize this.

No, it's been scientifically proven, as much as anything in science ever is.
There have been natural climate changes before, mostly due to the Sun. But the data clearly shows that, starting about 40 years ago, man's contribution overwhelmed the natural forces that controlled climate before.

Absolutely not.
However, it is likely that global warming is caused partly by natural AND human involvement.
Therefore, the entire rise in temperature cannot be blamed on humans. This is great news beacuse it means we have a little more time to fix what we broke and the Earth will do the rest.
Sustainable living is the only way we will survive. Live responsibly.

why do u think global warming is a farce? of course not. obviously you haven't been feeling the heat , watching the news about climate changes or understanding the causes behind global warming.
If by “global warming” you mean the catastrophic global warming that all the Global Warming Alarmists (GWAs) talk about, then yes, it’s a farce.
The truth is that it was much warmer during the Medieval Warm Period (despite the GWAs trying to erase it from history) and a look at the literature of the time shows that no one was complaining about any changes in the climate. Why? Because they never even noticed, that’s why.
Today, I have little doubt that, without the help of the GWAs spouting doom and gloom left, right and centre, we wouldn’t have noticed either. I still believe that the warmest summer I’ve ever known was back in 1976 (I’m not saying it was, I’m just pointing out that, without figures to dispute it, that what’s I’d think).
Before global warming came along, rain during the British summer time was so common, and ruined Wimbledon so often, it was a cliché. Now, we’ve just had heavy rain, that’s ruined Wimbledon as usual, and it’s all down to global warming. Do people really have such short memories?
I defy anyone to give a first hand example of how global warming has adversely effected them, personally, in a way that is unique – i.e. has never happened before.
Thus, with no evidence of global warming in our own lives, the GWAs have to provide us with proof. Hence the plight of the polar bears (which is made up, they’re actually doing fine), photos of mount Kilimanjaro’s snow cap melting (which is caused by deforestation), suggestions that the polar ice is melting (Antarctica is not warming and the Arctic is no warmer than it was in the 1930s), various islands are going to disappear under the waves due to sea level rise (which is not actually happening at all), etc. etc.
And even the IPCC are attempting to pull the wool over our eyes. The “hockey-stick” graph they used in their 2001 report turned out to be nothing short of a lie (but have they apologised?) and for their 2007 report they selected temperature records that showed a warming trend (ignoring others that didn’t - http://ff.org/centers/csspp/library/co2w... ) and announced the results of research before it had even begun (http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/story... ).
So, I tend to agree with you that it does seem to be a farce. Frankly, I believe that we are being conned. It never ceases to amaze me that people are so willing to ignore that fact that they are being lied to. Apparently honesty is not important these days.
I’m perfectly happy to believe that global warming is real and potentially dangerous, but they’ll have to be a lot more honest in their claims before that will happen.

Who knows? I think that it could be, but if it is, I really do not care..
