What do you think about global warming ?
paragraph would be great.
Answer:
I was also skeptical, but.
In a recent UNESCO meeting, overwhelming evidence was presented by scientists that global warming is not only happening, but that it is accelerating beyond all previsions.
So, the threat is real, and many places and cities around the world will face destruction.
They urged all governments to do something about it asap.
I am quite pessimistic about the possibility of an effective global agreement and action before it is too late.
One possible solution I figured out (which should be checked out by scientists) is that of placing in orbit around the Earth a cloud of tiny particles to partially screen some of the Sun's radiation. The effect should be first checked experimentally on a smaller scale. The particles should decay or fall from the orbit after a certain time.
Dems, Gore-lovers, and Fiction Authors: Don't read the following, just go ahead and give me a thumbs down.
Global warming is real. But, it is not a threat to human life. Global warming melted the glaciers, which now form the Great Lakes. Al Gore has absolutely no scientific grounds on which to talk about the environment in the way that he does. Nobody should take him seriously unless he is talking about law, which is what he IS educated in. Even if the polar ice caps melted, they would not even be able to raise the water level of the ocean more than one foot. Therefore, global warming does exist, but it does not pose a threat to human life.
Do your own homework.
It's happening. Change your ways.
So you can print it and turn it in tomorrow? No thanks.
somehting should be done , soon!!!!
Only a twit would believe Big Al (Gore) and his propaganda. The fact of the matter is that C02 is almost at an all time low in geological terms. In the Cambrian period, the C02 levels were at 7000 ppm compared to today's 380 ppm, 18 times higher. The Jurassic period's C02 concentrations were 1800ppm, almost 5 times higher than now. The worldwide temperatures in those periods were 1-2 degrees C more than now. Man made C02 is about 9 billion tons per year (5%), compared to 189 million tons that are naturally occurring due to biomass decomposition and oceanic outgassing (95%). We are in a warming period interglacial period, and it is going to get warmer. Greenland was actually once green. So, go ahead and drive your SUV and fart once in awhile if you have to.It won't make any difference.
