What can poor people do about global warming?

Answer:
This is a beautiful question, because being green has turned into an elitist group of people who can afford the more expense food and products, but it shouldn't be that way.

The biggest thing that anyone can do is conserve - in doing so you'll save money! The other thing that needs to be considered is long term effect. For example, CFLs are more expensive than regular bulbs, but will pay for themselves in saved energy in a couple of months. Here are some other conservation ideas that will cost you nothing.

1) Turn down the heat (67 in winter) and turn up the AC (75 in summer) This will use less energy and save you money.
2) When you aren't home turn the heat down to 60 and the AC up to 85. The cost to bring the house up (or down) to the temp you need will cost less than time to heat/cool while not home.
3) Turn off lights and faucets when not in use. (Don't let the water run while brushing teeth or washing dishes)
4) Walk or ride a bike (this will help your health too!)
5) Take public transportation
6) Turn down the temp on your water heater so it is at 115 degrees. Any hotter will scald you anyway.

These are few ideas, but like I said conservation will make the biggest impact on the environment and on your wallet! Good luck!
they can live like everyone else.
Poor and rich alike can do NOTHING. Humans are not ruining the earth. And even if there was, there's nothing stopping poor people from walking everywhere! :)
Weeeelllllllll - we could stop burning wood in our stoves for heat and start burning Al Gore and all his friends into this "warming" stuff. That is about all these people are good for. Whoops - sorry - you are serious. OK let's stop the stars saying we must sacrifice from flying mega fuel burning private planes more than we drive our cars. Make them put their money where their mouths are as we sure don't have the funds to do anything. If we must sacrifice - then they must stop doing everything.
Turn off the lights when you leave the room.
Walk places, if you can.
Turn down the thermostat
Turn off electronics when you're not using it.
Buy environmentally friendly lightbulbs. They may cost more initially, but they will save you more in the long run, as they last up to seven years.\
And of course, plant trees.
gather up all the rich peoples recycleables, and recycle them, then you get money and you help the environment

and if your homeless, stop crappin all over, cause every time it rains it washes out into the ocean and makes it toxic, bad for everyone. poor people can help by making rich snooty people aware of the damage their lazyness accumulates, i guess that will help, but that is a wierd question
We can do absolutely nothing. Global warming is the effect of paranoid people looking for some reason to complain. The earth goes through periods of warming and cooling and we are in a warming stage. In thousands of years (assuming the human race stills exists) they will be giving some reason why humans are effecting global cooling. It's as simple as that. Had people been around thousands and millions of years ago there would have been records to show this process.
We can all do little things to help with global warming and the environment. Replace incandescent light bulbs with new florescent bulbs, if you can't afford to replace them all do one or two at a time. Cut down on air conditioning in the summer and heat in the winter by 2 degrees. Walk, ride a bike, use a car pool or bus instead of using your car. Recycle paper, plastic and glass products. You can also start a compost pile instead of sending everything to the trash. Most of these things can save you money in the long run too.
the same things as everyone else
it depends on which 'poor' you mean.

poor people in developed countries like the US and those in Europe are really not as much of a problem as are the wealthy since they can't afford as many of the things that burn fossil fuels - electrical appliances/toys & cars - that contribute CO2 to the atmosphere.

in underdeveloped countries they add a lot of CO2 because there are a lot more poor people and they tend to burn low-grade coal or wood for fuel but that's not nearly as much as the wealthy in the developed coutries do.

really, the poor can try to use less energy but, like a lot of other things, it is hard to do wiht less when you don't have much to begin with.

governments could do a lot if they wanted to to subsidize the poor's energy use by providing them with acccesto more eficient energy sources. this would have the effect of increasing their standard of living wihtout an increase in their energy costs or the associate pollution and greenhouse gas production that is proven to contribute to global warming and other climate changes.
Take public transportation, buy local goods, turn off lights when not in use, turn off faucet when brushing teeth
nothing can be done
