Has there been any attempt to reintroduce the Atlantic sturgeon into the Potomac River?

They were supposed to have been common at one time. Today a smaller species of sturgeon is occasionally still found there.

Answer:
attemps to reintorduce them would be ineffective at the moment because of the number of dams, it would be neccisary to install effective fish lifts, ladders, etc. or just remove the dams alltogether before the sturgeon would be able to migrate to spawn.
