I have baby birds who got out there nest how do i get them back in?Help me before it's to late!?

I'm SOOOOO tired of the nonsense about the mother bird rejecting their young because of "human scent" on them. Birds have a lousy sense of smell, and can't smell you any more than you can smell THEM. Put the babies back in the nest as soon as possible, after checking to be sure that the nest is still securely in place.
If you can't put the babies back in, contact a wildlife rehab center in your area. The link below will help you find one near you. Until you can get them to a rehab center or volunteer, put the babies in a cardboard box that has an old towel in the bottom; don't try to put them in a cage (they can break a wing on the bars). If you need to feed them, give them wet cat food in VERY small bits. Keep them warm (a heating pad set on low and placed under the box is just about right), and put them out of the way of foot traffic, and away from small children and pets, preferably in a darkened area.
It's very nice to see someone who doesn't think that they should be keeping the babies as "pets" :-)
I would put some gloved on rub some dirt in the gloves, Then pick up the bird. and put it in its nest. If you don't do that then the mother bird will reject it.

If you can't find the nest or if you can't get to it put them in a small open box or bowl and place it in a nearby tree or porch struture or appropriate cover. The mother may find them and take care of them there. If they die, keep in mind that most baby birds die and don't dwell on it.
I did this once with a glove and the mother came back. A leather glove that does not have human sweat in it should work fine.
This happened 2 me a few days ago also. I contacted the local animal control, and they said that the birds are probably trying to learn 2 fly. Just leave them on a safe place on the outside ground, and they will most likely wander off until their parents find them or they learn 2 fly. If they die, just know that it is part of nature.

If the little birds were dumb enough to jump out... they don't belong in the gene pool.
Leave them alone. The mother probably kicked them out of the next to teach them to fly.
best leave them where they are dont touch them or the mother may reject them
the parents can pick the birds up and return them by them selves

coulsd you pick up the birds in a cloth but never actualy touch them

Some times parents will throw them out if they cant find enough food
And you could not give little birds a fresh worm every hour or so
try to keep cats away
Hard to judge what to do from so far away.
i would leave them alone the mother will come for them. But if you take a chance in getting your scent on them then you will have baby birds without a mother.
