Zebra mussels were introduced into the Great Lakes by ships emptying their ballasts. They have caused many problems because they have no natural predators since they dont belong here. There population expands rapidly and they kill off native organisms. They have also spread into other lakes in the midwest causing problems for all of those lakes. Milfoil is a similar problem but not an animal.
The most infamous specie of animal that has been introduced was the Cane Toad. It was imported to control the insect populations that were ruining the crops in Australia. But the scientists made a bad mistake- the Cane toads came out in the months when the insect larvae/insects were were dormant- and vice versa. Both populations grew.
The Cane toad has no enemies and has a ravenous appetite. It eats anything that moves- including other cane toads. Often times in the months that are most favorable, quite a few numbers of these toads will have gotten ran over on the road.
They also have poison glands and when a bird or other specie tries to eat them, they release poison- that can cause harm or death.
Australia is where most of the Cane toads are. Cane toads can grow to be quite large- the largest Cane toad ever found was a few pounds.

How about a few examples from the UK? - Signal crayfish wiping out native white-clawed crayfish populations; American mink released into the countryside from fur farms having deadly effects on water voles; grey squirrels, which are so good at spreading and colonising that the UK native red squirrel is confined to really small areas now; Chinese mitten crab; muntjac (a type of small deer) cause huge problems in nature conservation (along with other native species of deer) through relentless grazing of new growth in woodland.
