Want to improve my environmental group :-)?
I would GREATLY appreciated any helpful tips since we can all do our part in helping to set a solid foundation for future generations to build upon!!

My fiance and I are involved with environmental issues and active in city politics. No, we're not politicians. On my profile you will see what we do. When you catch yourself considering ways that people can be forced to live the way you envision to be best for the environment: stop, string a "do not cross" barrier, and start considering other approaches. Because if you're going to be just another authoritarian thug, I won't support it, no matter what your cause is.
Freedom is the most precious part of our environment. Without freedom we die, just as surely as we do without air or water.
I took a look at your site - Kudos for doing something that people can see!
Run it through spell check - there's a few typos, which can turn off your well-educated visitors.
Try breaking down your text into smaller, focused paragraphs - the place for a welcome exposition is once they have joined. Some people who might want to join may get turned off if you present your group as too 'Tree - huggy' or 'Peace-and-Granola'.
Have you planned a marketing strategy for getting members to your site?

I think that you should make more parts of your website open to the public. Most of it is only for members. Maybe like a sample so they know what they are joining. Most of your website is only for members. Also if you want ideas you can rent Al Gores An inconvenient truth on DVD or the book. Also sponsor WWF and put that as one of your links You can join 4 free. Maybe by talking to the people you can get some ideas. They are really nice. I hope you go far with this

open to a wide arena of contribution to the environment.
Abstractly, two approaches might be appropriate.
Maintain your vast objective and establish your group
as a sort of contracting organization which proliferates
opportunities for environmental improvement. Or,
choose among your group some specific environmental
issues to focus on and take action with following through
as an organization in the field.
