Scientist just said the US floats on the Earth's heat. So shouldn't global warming help?
Answer:
Just remember that these "climatologists" that alarmists cite as experts are actually computer modelers - lousy coders who couldn't make it in the private sector - so now they put together a kluge, and the IPCC regurgitates it to the eagerly awaiting, pablum-eating public.
Global warming does indeed exist. It is part of the natural climatic cycle of warming and cooling that allows this planet's mean temperature to cycle around the freezing point of water.
Humans did not cause global warming.
Humans did not cause global cooling (the outcry of the 1970's)
Humans cannot affect the weather.
Humans, however, CAN pollute and they do that very well. Humans must stop polluting but that is a completely different problem.
All that just scares me!
I don't think we're sinking as much as the oceans are rising...just a guess. One would think that eventually global warming would help out the US and keep us above those bigger oceans. Also I do believe that global warming/cooling are natural cycles to a point, and how much our pollution has to do with it is obviously debatable. What gets me though is how people refuse to admit that the growing landfills, increasing atmospheric C02, and deforestation is a problem at all, whether it has to do with global warming or not.
The study that came out of the University of Utah was in reference to the heat within the Earth's crust and core. Due to the density and size of that area, global warming will have no affect on the heat that keeps North America afloat.
And as far as being contrary to thermal dynamics, that doesn't make a lot of sense. If your referring to conservation of mass and energy, the Earth is part of a much larger system, so it doesn't contradict thermal dynamics at all.
If that is the case then Washington DC should be the highest point in the US because of all the HOT AIR generated by the government!
If you think you can prove that global warming is not happening, you should contact ExxonMobil or some other oil company. They have already offered substantial amounts of money to anyone who can prove that increased CO2 in the atmosphere caused by human activities is not contributing to global warming. Or maybe you should try publishing your theories in a scientific journal. Do you really think you know something that the world's climatologists who have studied this issue for decades have not thought of?
