The problem I have with the assertion that humans are causing global warming is that we have no frame of reference because 100% reliable records only go back 150 years.
We simply don't know if the Earth has ever warmed up as quickly as it seems to be doing now. Nor do we know what actually drives climate.
C02 is being classed as a pollutant, yet it is how all living things on the planet grow. It is also being shown as the main "greenhouse gas", when it makes up only 0.054% of the atmosphere. Water vapour is a by far more abundant greenhouse "gas".
Furthermore the much debated Holocene Climactic Optimum was several degrees warmer than present day, yet the polar ice caps did not melt - Polar Bears existed in those times - they did not become extinct.
But my main concern about global warming is how much the research is worth to science and the media - billions of dollars.
Ten years ago it was less than a tenth of that. Global warming is big business - so big that objectivity could easily be thrown out of the window - as indeed it has been. The so-called "consensus" of 2500 scientists in the IPCC report was not a consensus at all. Many refuted claims that humans are to blame but were included as agreeing with the polemic anyway.
And your question is?
Perhaps you should talk to the Inuit who actually live near the north pole, who live with the climate changes that are resulting in less wild life, permafrost disappearing causing their homes to fall into the waters & every year they try to move their homes back to a safer area, only to loose them again. Their storys of life in the North & climate of the North go back before Christopher Columbus. Talk to them about your theory that everythings the normal status quo. And they demonize scientists that accept funding from energy industries, scientists that have actually worked to deliver a product that has been IMMENSELY beneficial to man. Meanwhile, they praise scientists who would have no job in the real world without funding from the government...we all know that there is no corruption in government, ESPECIALLY when given a nebulous problem, no responsibility for a viable or beneficial solution, and OODLES of money to fund it.
