That is near the reason for the reflective lake in Washington D.C. U see the Washington monument reflected in it . It is so filthy it is terrible . people that have been pulled out after falling have to get all kinds of shots.
since that lake is already dry it does not exist any more as a water body. may be after many more years,if the lake is getting filled with rain water if people find the ways to revive it as a lake filled with its natural flora & fauna --may be !

I agree with Kanya. The lake or dry water bed could be deepened by digging and used for rainwater collection. Marshy shrubs must be planted around the periphery and lots of trees densely planted around the banks. Depending on the rainfall density, within a year or two, the lake ought to revive. The Mahim Nature Park (now called Maharashtra Nature Park) in Mumbai has created an artificial lake using rainwater. Now after 3 years it has become perennial.
