after you've had a look. plz do at least something to help.. (not trying to start a chain letter) but it would be great if you could spread awareness cause were all screwed =] .unless we act now!



basically in another 40-50 or so years (not sure -dvd shall tell you) but the whole/most of new york and other places will be underwater =] cause of rising temperature and flooding (warm water expands so water rises. also warm temperature melts water.. melts the ice caps)

It's scary isn't it. I have to say though, I personally don't believe what was said on the movie - An Inconvienent Truth. They did a news program where I live and it showed that some of the facts that were told were(I think one of them was about rising water) incorrect.

As a family we are doing alot to help with global warming, from simple water saving techniques to turning off un-wanted lights. I also know that plenty of local schools have gone "green", installing solar panels, recycling etc.
The real danger is not to us, or our children, but to our great-great-great-great-grandc...

They may very well die as a result of global warming, along with most of life on Earth.

Getting people to react now, while we can still avoid the burning of some fossil fuel, is politically difficult. Since people are selfish, and will not react to crises in the far future, there tend to be exaggerations of how bad things will be in the near future. In fact, things will probably get better for a few decades, as warming sets in, but the long-term prospects for life itself and humankind as a whole are bad.
I'm sure the land I bought in Colorado will still be high and dry. So what?
