I think that they should keep their eyes open. Every measure proposed that makes sense should be done no matter what the reason. I for one hate having all that gunk in my air and water and it should be gotten rid of ..climate change or not.

They need to do more research. I took a class on Sustainability when I was a graduate student and the facts are plain.

If we try to look from their perspective, they might be the kind of people who dont join any bandwagon too soon, are very suspicious of anything that is the "in" topic amongst the liberals and young people and the most common excuse I have heard is :
Weather has always been like this since time the planet was born, there just werent so many media outlets to pick up on it and go crazy.
Hardly anybody says global warming is fake. What the skeptics say is that it is natural. And we know the planet has warmed and cooled many times so it is natural. To what extent is the current warming caused by humans? To what extent is it natural? To what extent can we stop it? Nobody knows for sure but there's a lot of people who think they know. And the political motiviations driving people like Al Gore are very real.
They aare not getting caught up in the mass hysteria about an impending doomsday. "Level-headed" is a good description.
In denial
I think denial is the path of the stupid, and blind acceptance is the road to idiocy.
I don't mind someone being skeptical, but outright denying it with silly talking points from talk radio shows, that have no scientific support, is...stupid, putting it mildly.
that they understand that science has been highly politicized and this has become nothing more than a political power grab. We need to be able to have an open and HONEST debate on this issue and the left will not allow that.

I used to think they only had a different opinion based on other facts and arguments. Now I think they have been fooled or just haven't done their homework properly.
Generally aggressively political in their outlook and conservative. Generally uneducated about global warming science.
They frequently make silly arguments (which are inconsistent with accepted data) like: The climate has changed naturally before so this change has to be natural. It's the Sun. Or (really silly) volcanoes. Or they just say Al Gore is a bad guy as if that has anything at all to do with the truth of global warming.
They would do well to listen to Newt:

They're just as ignorant as the people who think it's the biggest crisis of our time. It's stupid to think that our climate would remain static, since everything else in nature is constantly changing and evolving.
The truth is that is occuring, it is only partly man-made (research is still needed to determine the accurate percentage, but it's nowhere near the 80-90% being touted by some people). We also have many issues that are more immediately pressing than global warming/climate change, such as the situation in the middle east, Darfur, hunger, poverty, etc.
I also find it amusing that many of the accusations that global warming hypers make about deniers can go the other way as well. Like:

LMAO, you could say the same thing about the people who think global warming will end the world in a few decades.

Global warming is like every other issue facing our world today.the vocal majority are radicals and are just two sides of the same worthless coin, while all the solutions lie somewhere in the middle. But no one is willing to give an inch so we end up with our hands tied.
To be blunt, I think many of them simply aren't very smart. They don't understand the science behind global warming, they don't trust the experts who have done the scientific research, and they blindly accept virtually any misinformation as long as it confirms what they want to believe - that humans are not causing global warming. It's hard to have a high opinion of people who fit that description.
Yes, I think global warming is a big hoax. And I'm no idiot.
Seems that there is such a massive movement to shut down voices that don't tout the global warming pitch. It's easier to call someone an idiot than to argue facts.

Earth is warming, but man-made global warming is stupid.

If Co2 was the culprit then temperatures would be higher and amount of ice on Greenland would be at an all time low.
I find it hilarious that they say that Co2 increases temperature instead temperature increasing Co2. When they charted the Co2 for the last 650,000 years from the ice core samples they measured the Co2 trapped in the ice.
If ice traps Co2 when it gets cooler and releases Co2 when the ice melts, it sounds like to me that temperature increases/decreases Co2.
They are a bunch of jerks for spreading the truth like they are.

Those who buy the "Anthropogenic Global Warming" hysteria are akin to the scientists of Galileo's day, saying there was nothing "new" to discover in the heavens, and the Science was "settled" over whether the Earth was the center of the Universe or not.
I say show me "proof" of AGW that is more than just fiddled with "computer models." Maybe a model that reproduces the CURRENT climate? (I know, I'm a shill for big oil for pointing THIS particular problem out.)
I think they were all very much just like you...
