Which brand of Air Conditioner is safe to use that is green friendly?

I have a kenwood 85..it's small and compact. it saves energy as it is small and doesn't need much energy to run it. I also went with a single room air conditioner as it is much better and saves lots of energy if you only need to cool one room instead of a whole house.... ;)
Just look for the energy star
None are green friendly, but if you need one, make sure it has the "energy star" sticker on it.
Look for the combination of energy star and a high eer rating
the best that i have found and is the most cost effective is )a open window_ and a wet towel placed on the feet and head
You can go to the government's EPA website and find out about energy efficient appliances. However, please note that this refers only to how much power the units consume. It doesn't address the wholistic question of whether the unit is manufactured in a "green" manner.
