Will Kingston Upon Thames Flood?

Will kingston upon thames flood. I live in New Malden and we were hit really badly on Friday (compared to most in the greater london area) and i was wondering with the Thames raising does this mean that Kingston could become flooded?

I was told that Kingston was the last place to flood but i wasn't sure if that as true.

Thanks for any answers

Answer:
Richmond, Teddington and Twickenham all flood regularly along the Thames, and in Chiswick they have extra sets of "up and down" steps outside their houses to prevent the Thames from flooding their homes, so I don't see why Kingston should be any different in the event of really excessive rainfall !-
Kingston may be higher up so may well be ok...hope not though, my favourite club oceana is in kingston!
Best thing you can do is try this web site -

www.environment-agency.gov.uk/...

It will keep you up-dated on all the flood warnings and hopefully might give you some advanced warning. Good luck

go to this page and look up your area
