the u.s. is being terrible, we need a new government! where the ppl will care about the earth, now im no tree hugger, but ive seen the proof, and we need to do sumthing, im to much of a wuss to stand up to it, but if u answer, i hope u will!!

IF global warming exists, it's not caused by man. If it was, how do you explain polar ice caps melting on Mars? How do you explain the Antarctic ice actually thickening? How do you explain it being hotter hundreds of years ago than it is now? How do you explain glaciers growing, not shrinking? I'm all for a clean environment, but the Global Warming movement is a movement against capitalism. It's just a myth. The earth goes through warming and cooling cycles, and the sun is getting hotter, that's all that's happening.
We all want to stop Global Warming. The problem is how do you accomplish that without destroying the economy, causing a world wide depression and human misery on a massive scale?
To stop Global Warming we must cut the world wide carbon dioxide emissions to less than one tenth of what they are today.
To accomplish that we would have to ban the use of all motorized forms of transport including all automobiles, buses, trucks ,trains, planes and shipping.
We would have to shut down all manufacturing, including steel making and cement making.
Next we would have to ban the heating and air conditioning of all offices, homes, and factories.
Next we would have to ban the use of all fossil fuels to generate electricity.
Next we would have to ban the heating of all water used for washing and bathing.
We would all have to take cold showers.
We would have to get all of the countries of the world to go along with this.
The People's Republic of China has stated that they will not reduce their use of fossil fuels and in fact they will be increasing their use of fossil fuels.
You will not get the cooperation of The People's Republic of China on this.
The People's Republic of China emits enough carbon dioxide to cause Global Warming by itself, even if all of the other countires of the world reduce their carbon dioxide output to zero.
We cannot stop Global Warming.
Fortunately we can mitigate the effects of Global Warming at reasonable cost if we start now.
The sea levels will rise. Fortunately coastal areas can be protected by dike systems similar to those in Holland to hold back the sea.
Hurricanes will become stronger and more frequent. We will need to upgrade the disaster preparedness systems of the countries that are affected.
Droughts will become more frequent. We will need to help with supplemental water supplies and desalination plants.
We cannot stop global warming without causing a severe world wide depression and world misery, however we can mitigate the effects of global warming at reasonable cost if we start now.
