Do you think that the actions taken against global warming is enough?

Answer:
Personally, I think the environmental movement is taking the wrong direction on global warming and convincing people to change their lifestyle to become more environmentally friendly. There is no argument that as a society we have operated with little regard towards limiting our negative impact on the environment. Just like every other heterotroph on the planet, we will always have the potential to take more than we can give back - that is an unchangeable part of our existence. But, we are also fortunate enough to have the mental capacity to modify our lifestyles to maximize our sustainable utilization of the environment.

Traditionally, this was the message of environmentalists; however, it was met with little success, drowned out by the Siren call of materialism and excessive consumption. Instead of accepting small gains and the reality that significant change may not be achieved within a lifetime, they have gone whole-hog with the doom-and-gloom, do-or-die message of man-made global warming. This has certainly got the attention of people who may have otherwise not given a second thought to the environment.

But what will the consequences be if people find out that they have been misled?

New converts may hold a grudge against environmentalism. People who have been holding out skeptically will only feel vindicated and could use it as an excuse to continue on with destructive behavior. The net effect will be a GREATER damage to the environment as well as a distrust of voiced environmental concerns for generations.

Think of the woman who uses pregnancy to pressure a man into marriage. It makes little difference whether the pregnancy was unplanned or planned, or even faked. It is not the recipe for a healthy, long-term relationship.

And a healthy, long-term relationship with the environment is exactly what we need.

The message should be one of wise utilization of the environment, conservation and recycling with a realistic view of the possible consequences, and an understanding that 100% compliance may take generations if ever at all.
NO!
As long as they are capitalistic, I don't care. It will all fall apart in 10-15 years anyway when the global warming scare falls to pieces.
No.If they did we wouldn't have global warming
since 'global warming' is the biggest scientific hoax since cold fusion, we've already taken far too many actions.
Yes I do. Some people say we need to take drastic action right now to stop it because the consequences will be really bad. But I do not believe that. Natural warming has happened before with no bad consequences, and I see no reason for the present artificial warming to have different consequences. But the consequences of cutting use of coal and oil by 90% within 50 years WILL have consequences. It will plunge the world into poverty if we do that without first finding replacement power sources. Some radical environmentalists disagree, but they don't really care about ecconomics and just dismiss any problem that is ecconomic in nature as unimportant. They are wrong to do so.
I think everyone has to realize what's going on and learn how to take action.
It really doesn't matter whether this warming we see is or is not man caused. Either way it is bad. So we should work now to minimize the damage.
What actions ? LoL the only people taking action are a small hand full of us in hear. Take a good look outside people are nuts and don't give a crap. I don't see anything different or people doing anything different to help anything even themselves
No, because most people are so stubborned and they just don't care about themselves or our future generations.
Enough to solve it? No. I think it's already too late.
no.every country, individuals have to commit positively to safe our earth.Just imagine the consequences of global warming.I was partially affected the tsunami hit where hundreds and thousand died recently.RECYCLE,PLANT TRESS so everyone can live happy and a healty life.
NO,
But the think is how much have u contributed towards preventing global warming.
Do u always travel in car ?
How much u recycle every thing accounting frm ur waste?
Do u plant Trees ?
well this are small thing by which we can prevent Global warming , however if ucan,t do this small things then we don,t have the right to ask any questions to anyone.
No,because there is a natural global warming cycle we could stop doing everything they claim is causing the problem and it wouldn't help because the earth does it on its own there is a spike in climate and then a miniature ice-age it has been shown to have happened before it is a process that completes the circle about every 500 years,But don't worry the mini ice-age wont be bad enough to kill off everything it will just mean winter like weather in the middle of summer for a few years.
