Why should we imprison people that start bush fires on purpose?
Answer:
why do parents have the right to tell thier kids what they can and can't do? the government can't be sure that the person who started it started it for a good reason aaannnddd they can't be sure if the person can handle the fire and keep it under controll without proper training and back up.
the government wants to be our parents.
1) they want to controll us and tell us what we can't do and back it up by punishment. they don't trust their people to take care of our own needs. for the people who own land that is farmed or houses that are surronded by brush that is not taken care of properly they sould be alowed to tend to their land to protect themselves. if the citizens feel threaten that they could lose everything they worked for and the only place they know as home, then they sould be allowed to take action, as long as they keep it small and suporvised.
2) The government is trying to protect us from being recless. Practicaly all the brush fires are started by meth labs gone wrong... smokers... dumb *** kids or drunk adults. They are left un attended, out of controle, and left to become a large hazordus fire. Imprisoning people for that reason is to show that its not ok to the public... its not just to punish the arsonic... why do parents with more then one kid have more then one punishment... to show the other child that if you follow your siblings footsteps, this will happen to you, and hopefully with enough inforcment, they will stop.
lol, i am not going to spell check this. Good luck
Even though some people deserve it, burning anyone at the stake is illegal now, especially the prez.
Its called arson.
Putting people in danger.
Destroying property.
Instead of prison make them fight fires.
Don't know where thor is coming from.
because it's a crime..and they probably need a psychiatrist, also !
One reason is ten dead firefighters in Colorado. If someone robbed you of 10,000,000 dollars worth of lumber would time in prison be a reasonable punishment? Much of law is based on intent. If someone destroys something on purpose they should be willing to suffer the consequences. If I were going to destroy something it would be smart of me to find out what the possible consequences were before I did it. Therefore I would be directly responsible for my own punishment. Ignorance is not an excuse in the eyes of the law. You take a ride, you pay the price.
because the kill wildlife endanger people and cost lots of money to fight these fires
personally, I feel the punishment should include dropping them into the conflagration they started to fight it along with firemen who risk their lives.
they have to be imprisoned to at least punish them, I mean, not only does wildlife suffer, but people can die too, what other option is there, let them wander off and do it again knowing they wont do time?
Starting fires is a crime obviously,: and I consider it a violent crime due to potential of loss of human life. It is a crime that is committed by a sick mind. Can that mind be rehabilitated? Maybe with a lot of medicine and therapy. The arsonist belongs locked up for sure. A psychiatric facility is preferred, but if not available, we must imprison.
