I have some questions about what I can recycle... toilet paper cardboard? plastic food containers...?
Answer:
Here in Toronto I have provided a link to our recycling programme.

You can also help the environment by:
Avoid food packaged in individual servings. Buy in bulk. It saves money and the environment.
Buy multi-use items rather than single-use when possible.
Use your own cloths bags for shopping.
Donate your old clothes to charity.
Buy beverages in refillable containers.
Use rechargeable batteries.
Share your newspaper, magazines and books with a friend.
Wrap presents in reusable cloth bags or reused wrapping paper.
Rent items you use infrequently.
Compost!
Pack your lunch in reusable containers.
Support your community's recycling programs.
Buy products that contain recycled materials.
Use both sides of every sheet of paper.
Use a durable refillable mug or glass at school or work.
Here's a good list.
Keep in mind, that not all communities can recycle all things.
Each communities recycling capabilities are different, check your communities website. In my area i am lucky to have a great recycling program:
glass, aluminum, steel (think jars, food cans, pop cans)
paperboard (think cereal boxes etc)
plastic(you have to know which numbers)
cardboard
and newspaper
I am also lucky to have the convenience of curbside pickup and not having to separate glass, aluminum, and steel.
You can recycle anything with the arrows on it orrr.. http://www.federaldisposal.com/whattoput...
get a compost bin from your local D.I.Y superstore. You can recycle all paper, cardboard, uncooked kitchen waste like potatoe peelings, apple cores, egg shells, cut grass etc its just a matter of balance.
