What do silversalmon eat?

i`m bby sitting and the little boy is driving me insane!! please help me! <3

Answer:
They eat Herring it's a small size fish about 6 inches long! They love it! I just went Fishing in BC Canada for Salmon.
When these fish swim upstream to spawn (and then die) they stop eating.
