Is GOBAL WARMING responsible for MUMBAI FLOODS? If YES then to what extent?

i need to prepare a report on GLOBAL WARMING.Please give me some other examples of global warming like the MUMBAI example .please........ help.....

Answer:
No. The floods were caused by poor land management.
I do not know whether global warming is responsible for that or not but surely the administration is responsible for that. We got Independence about 60 years back and Mumbai is surrounded by sea. We have not made any plan for all these years either to conserve the mater or drain out the water to the sea. many reservoirs could have been built where excess water could be stored and surplus water can be properly drained by rain water flood lines to the sea locally or at everyplace. Our politicians have time only to make illegal money and fight among themselves rather than doing welfare schemes. People are still worst they never bother about anything even voting and all voting is done by the poor and slum dwellers who take money to vote.
Didn't Mumbai have floods many years ago? Then you can't blame it on global warming. However, the other answer hits the nail on the head: if they, meaning the government, knew there was a problem and did nothing, they shoulder part of the blame for the extent of the damage. That said, if they are elected officials, then the people are also to blame for not electing those who proposed rational solutions to the problems.
Other examples of global warming are found in northern areas where the ice pack is receding at an alarming rate. Polar bears are not giving birth on ice as normal but are drifting onto exposed land for the first time. Cities near the equator are reporting an increase in their tidal levels which is accelerating the rate they are sinking.
The earth can withstand many abuses - volcano eruptions spew tons of material in the air and release huge amounts of heat - but they do not compare to daily release of pollutants and gases from the billions of people on the earth.
No... but Bush is
lol...what's Bush got to do with Mumbai's flooding?
