Question about stores that don't use paper or plastic bags?
Answer:
i really dont think they do care or if they did they would have not been using paper bags or plastic bags thats messed up those people who use them/cut the trees down are mean and cruel i dont like people like that pisse(s) me off they are some mean stupid and dumb a%& b!$@%#& 0000000000000hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... they get on my nerves mater of fact they get on my last nnnnnneeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrvvvvvvv...
they do that?
It gives them an ecologic conscience, and provide peoples to either make a public statement (who don't like to wear branded stuff?) or plain publicity... Actually we are dumb, we should ask to be paid to travel with it... This is prepaid publicity...
probably both, but more for the advertisment, or to make ppl think they want to do the environment good, but just do it for advertisment?
well even if they still hand out paper and plastic bags, the bags wouldve have their logo anywayz and u still be a walking advertisement.
for ur question yes maybe that could b a possiblility but then at least trees are being spared from being cut down and our oil consumption is being reduced and thats what should matter.
uhhh well if thats the case then use non logo tote bags or if they offer boxes at the store to put your groceries in, take em.
Advertisement is one of heir goal for sure! The environment comes second.
A bit of both perhaps, great if they have an environmental conscience & who would stop a business from making more money ? That is what they are doing all the time , I carry my own bag & feel good about it.
Well IKEA sells their bags for super cheap (like 55 cents for a Big Blue Bag) and their logo is only on the handle so it's not very visible.
I'm sure that advertising on the bags is a nice bonus for the stores. Frankly I don't really care why they do it - more stores should make people use reuseable bags.
Does it matter?
It's a good thing, whatever their reason.
Their reasons are probably both.
They may lose business from people who don't want to use permanent bags.
(Actually, I've never heard of stores that don't use any bags, and wonder where this is.)
wow amber needs her lithium, And if they charge a few bucks for the canvas or cloth bags, so be it. It's called capitalism
Probably to help them economically. It is cool to have a business name on a cloth bag, showing that they are for the environment. I think non-reusable bags should be the same charge as cloth and then if you don't buy a bag because you have brought your own, there wouldn't be a charge. I think most Aldi grocery stores do this, maybe all. Aldi is based out of Germany which seems to be a much greener country.
Shoppers have choice, what they think is convenient for them ..unless there is no such ban on using plastic bags, they would prefer using plastic bags..There are pros-cons on this and it depends on how they prefer carrying their groceries..
It's up to the store management to give consideration to shoppers who bring their own cloth bags to continue the use of cloth bag. For those who really concerned about the environment..I think they really care.
We reuse all the plastic or paper bags. If an organization we belong to is having a yard sale, they get them. If not, our library has a used book sale twice a year and we donate them for that. My husband recycles everything (hope I'm not next).
