I find this rather interesting. Do you?
To put that in perspective, that's 38 molecules of CO2 for every 100,000 molecules of air. It would take 5 years to change that 38 molecules to 39 molecules at the above rate.
Interesting, huh?
Answer:
so what can we do about it? its natural so i dont see why anybody is concernd with this
Yes I Believe So !
and you got this from.
that's astounding
Not really concerning, in all of this global warming debate we somehow overlook one key thing. Matter can neither be created nor destroyed. It was there before, all we are doing is moving it. Especially with carbon dioxide, a lot of these emission people are concerned about are not really that big of problems.
What do you think humans expel every time they breathe? Maybe we should all just stop breathing, this could help with pollution!
WOW! 38! MMM... And it's molecules too! 38 per every 100,000 molecules! And knowing how large our atmosphere is, that is a mighty fine amount! I guess Al Gore did go a bit overboard with his theories! It's amazing how little can happen in five years. In five years we might have Semi-Flying cars (as in a few inches of the road)! but if we can make that 30,000,000,000 in to 30,000,000, the Global warming section wouldn't be needed!
yep, but that's the point people aren't seeing, they think they are going to see overnight changes, in the same sense it took as long as it did for the damage to happen, it's going to take a long time to see the beneficial changes.
(Not in my lifetime)
BY RELEASING CO2 WHICH IS MAN-MADE HERE IS THE CALCULATION TO PROVE IT
not just "I´ve hear"... "people say..."
------------------------------...
So now for the people not believing WE put the CO2 in the atmosphere:
Global atmospheric mass around the earth:
5.148*10^18 kg
=5.148*10^15 t
=5.148*10^12 kt
=5.148*10^9 Mt
=5.148*10^6 Gt
=5,148,000 Gt
Global man-made CO2 (only... it accounts for 70% of all the man-made greenhouse gases):
=24Gt/year
CO2 density=1.98kg/m³
Air density=1.2Kg/m³
Ratio: the CO2 density is around 1.6x the density of air.
This means that for the same weight, CO2 has 1,6 times less molecules (parts)
Now what is the rate we increase CO2 in the atmosphere for sure (counted land use change/deforestation/use of fossil fuels, etc...):
5,148,000 / (24/1.6)=2.9*10^(-6)
Considered in PPM (parts per million) 1 million=10^6
change in PPM = 2.9 * 10^(-6) * 10^(6)
2.9 PPM (per year)
So during the average 1997-2017 period we should increase the PPM concentration by 29PPM
Now look at the measurements:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/image:mauna...
We see an increase of close to 20PPM in the last decade...
THIS IS TOTALLY CONSISTENT WITH MY CALCULATION PUTTING THE MAN MADE CO2 AS CAUSE FOR THE INCREASE IN THE EARTH ATMOSPHERE
If you are not sure of the accuracy of fossil fuel based calculations, check the GHG protocol from the WRI (World Resource Insitute): www.ghgprotocol.com
In a city of 100,000 citizens, how many career criminals would it take to reduce the quality of life for everyone?
oh. Golly. just to humor you, um what is your source?
I can't believe you got people doing math on here just from a few sentences like that. lol but that is some very large numbers, and to think we do all that just in one year.
