What would you give up for this world peace?
Answer:
We shouldn't have to give up anything. We should be gaining some things: forgiveness, understanding, love, compassion...yeah you get my point.
Peanut butter pie.aww nevermind. Blood is worth pie any day!
ummm green eggs and ham
That's more about advertising and mass manipulation, we don't have to "give up" anything necessarily just make more eco friendly things and use our puchasing power to go in that direction - our leaders are responsible for allowing crap to be made and now it's put on us to clean it up by thinking we have to give things up - companies need to be helped in going greener and compensated through all the money this government just sits on and claims all poverty and yet all mighty
I would give up the GOP. In fact, if Georgie Jr wants to go to Mars I'd put in 1/3 of my salary to buy him a one way ticket.
Everyone could give up something. There are several people I know that have multiple vehicles...WHY!?
My husband & I have been minimizing our stuff since the first of the year. We recycle, reuse & reduce items everyday. We have also gotten into the trading "business", I make quilts, reusable shopping bags, etc. and we trade for fresh eggs, chickens, fresh milk, etc. This is our way of not buying things produced by factories. We live in Kentucky (in the city) & we have this kind of service at our finger tips. We carpool, but walk & ride bikes most of the time. We gave up going out...We now have our own romantic dates that don't cost a thing & we don't have to drive anywhere. We are still using the computer though...We are working on that one.
We dropped one cell phone, he has to keep his, because he's a truck driver.
I can go on & on about things we have done without...OH! We gave up a/c too. That's also a HUGE help on our bill...I recommend it.
We are just trying to do what we cn to help the environment any way we can...Hope you will too.
hmmmmmm... maybe i will give my skateboard (a green one)
All of the mentioned but not my son.
i'd adopt a nearly amish lifestyle. no electricity or running water, no car. and then i'd add to that no meat.
i wound give it all up that like asking what would you give up for happiness as long as i have my family i am happy and world peace would insure that my kids will not go to war for a countries pride. i dont get war!!
I would give up my car because excerise today in America is so vastly overweight. I think that people are becoming too reliable on modern technology and transportation for easy tasks that can be completed themselves. I think that with car distances, its acceptable..but come on..driving to the gas station to buy something to drink that's 2 blocks away..why not walk..and save the air from a little pollution. Why is it that people are becoming so lazy now days in age.
I would give up my right to privacy. Everyone makes such a big deal about cameras in public places, red light cameras at traffic lights, having to show ID for just about everything...but you know what? If you are out in public and don't do anything wrong, what harm is it to be on camera? If you have nothing to hide, what is the big deal about?
I'd rather be on camera picking my nose if that meant that they would also be watching as some guy took a child from that same sidewalk and the pictures could be used to get that child back safely because the guy was identified.
Giving up something isn't going to work, though, unless everyone agrees to give up their opinions. That's the biggest reason we have wars and all the crud that's going on right now, because we each have a different opinion on who should have rights, which god is the right god, and if condoms really do promote risky sex or prevent aids.
Sadly, if all of us gave up everything that we own or ever will own, including our homes and became homeless, living on the street and eating the garbage out of dumpsters, that still would not get us world peace.
I know, there are many people who believe that if we only gave up some things and were nicer to the terrorists, the terrorists would leave us alone.
There also many prople who believe in Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny.
Unfortunately there is nothing that we can do to get world peace. There are too many extreme terrorist groups out in the rest of the world that want power and are willing to use force to get power. Unfortunately those terrorists are scattered all over the world and it is very difficult for us to monitor them.
As long as there are these extreme terrorist groups all over the world that are willing to use force to get political power we will never be able to achieve world peace by merely giving up things and being nice to the terrorists.
