Greenpeace is constructing a replica of Noah's ark on Mt. Ararat. Is this enough for global warming awareness?

Answer:
I don't think that it is enough but it is a good start to be sure that people are more aware and hopefully paying more attention to what is happening to our world.

Building the ark will show what Noah did to stay alive during the flooding that occured. If I'm not mistaken, the original ark is or was in ice. If that is melting, that should be enough for glogal warmng awareness.
NOT AT ALL IT TAKES MORE THAN A SHIP WE ALL NEDD TO CONTRIBUTE FOR A HEALTHIER ENVIORMENT AND AMERICAS NOT DOING A GOOD JOB
I wonder if it will mainly resonate with those who are religious or seek meaning from biblical reference.

Neat idea, though.
Personally,I kind of feel like its putting trash on a sacred place-and a natural place. I suppose they aren't really, but it feels that way. I'd rather see magazines, newspaper articles and news creating public awareness and within our education system.
No because you just went into the world of religon I dont think building an ark made of WOOD would help with global warming awarness.
No. Only a certain percentage of the population believes in Noah's ark and the flood. Also the flood in the bible was not due to global warming...
It doesn't really make sense to me. What's the point of building a replica of the ark in order to promote global warming awareness? I just don't see how such a ridiculous stunt is going to do our environment any good whatsoever. Mt. Ararat will suffer.
No, it is a waste of time, money, people, and other resources.

I would rather them just mail me a flier saying tips of what to do to help mother Earth.

Plus how many hundreds of trees are they going to be cutting down to just show people a biblical figure could have landed there?
well they wont need to make it that big now

Of the earth's estimated 10 million species, 300,000 have vanished in the past 50 years. each years, 3,000 to 30,000 species become extinct.
Hi Alvinwri I don't think a replica of Noah's ark is enough to make people aware of global warming. But I think that it is a great start..I checked out the site that you listed and found it very interesting thanks....te
