Any websites explaining why sturgeon fish are environmentally threatened?

Answer:
I have read that they are endangered because of the improvements (dams and channeling) done on the countries large rivers, like the missouri and mississippi. This eliminates their breeding areas and prevents them from reproducing.
I'm not seeing anything related to the environment, unless you include the overharvesting of the fish. See website below.
in your search bar type in sturgeon then hit the search button
Sturgeon roe (eggs) are commonly known as caviar. Due to overfishing to obtain the eggs, sturgeon population has been on a brink of extinction. I tried to find some websites with stats but have not been successful but have found a paper (a long one), that seems to have all the details you are looking for.
