Can Global Warming really be stopped?
Answer:
Global warming isn’t real. Anyone who studied the history of the earth will realize that the weather cycles, sometimes year by year, other times by hundreds of years. The Ice age was a global cooling, and when the ice melted… defiantly global warming. To state that global warming is real let alone a threat you would have to prove that the earth is currently (give or take a few decades) at its perfect state. I would spend your time worrying about something more likely, like getting eaten by a shark while getting struck by lightning and scratching off the winning lotto ticket at the same time. Don’t buy into the media hype, they are NEVER 100% right, and usually not even 10%, and they only report things that get people worked up. Media news is as real as “the young and the restless” Take a fact or a scenario and stretch it as far as people are willing to believe and you have media news.
Is Global Warming real or some made up story and an easy explanation?
When Global Warmings actually happens, we will find out then
yes stop science it is destroy mother and god's creation with experimenrs and there materials to poison the earth.
no
What if the envirofascists go too far? What if they do more than stop global warming and in their extreme zealousness create global cooling?
The envirofascists have no idea when to stop shrinking the carbon footprint. They will kill us all with their extremism.
global warming is nature saying you earthlings have had it..it will only stop when "we "people stop raping the earth..and polluting it with our waste..I'm at an age where it won't worry me ..so I leave it in you youngsters hands..Good luck ..you'll need it..
if i can't stop it, know one can.
IMO we can not kill the planet, we can only kill ourselves.
The earth will change and our climate will change. This is not any thing new.
Turn off the lights when not in use, recycle trash and drive when necessary because it makes sense .
1) ozone depletion and global warming are two completely different problems--and have no relation to one another. Dolearn some of the basic science before you make a bigger fool of yourself.
2) We don't need a "100%" sollution--the environment can absorb some emissions. We need to reduce global output of CO2 to that sustainable level--again, learn the basics, will you?
Sorry to be so harsh--but ignorance from those who suppport environmental action isn't helping--you just give ammunition to the special interests and their followers.
People are making such a big deal about global warming. Since its creation, Earth has gone into cycles of hot and cold climates (like the ice ages, and the thawing out between them). This started way before the human race was involved, and it is natural. We think that as a highly developed species we can fix everything and make the Earth perfect, but that won't happen.
gET THE TRUTH AND DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU HEAR JUST BECAUSE IT'S AL GORE SAYING IT!

There are more experts that disagree!
It's difficult to tell if global warming is a real, human-caused phenomenon, or just a natural occurance. Remember, the Earth has been getting constantly warmer since the younger dryas--a 1300 year period referred to as the "big freeze"--this is not a phenomenon that has appeared in the last 200 years of heavy industry, but has been going on since about 11500 years ago. This big freeze is a perfect example of some of the more natural processes associated by natural and sometimes abrupt series of climactic changes of the Earth. Looking at the Earth's history, warming and cooling periods such as the one we are in seem very natural. However, one fact remains, the world is getting warmer and we are long overdue for an Ice Age. With respect to the ozone, It has the ability to repair itself eventually, so if all ODS's (Ozone Depleting Substances) were reduced, the ozone could very well be saved.
Not stopped entirely, without destroying our economy.
But it can be reduced to the point where we can deal with the remaining effects, at a reasonable cost (more than reasonable if you think about the cost of unreduced global warming). Here's the plan:

By the way, global warming is proven. Climate used to change naturally, but about 40 years ago, Man took over.

We need to turn the climate back over to nature.
THE ONLY ONLY WAY TO STOP GLOBAL WARMING IS TO KILL THE SUN! WHO'S WITH ME!
No one, hmm, didn't think so.
im with shadow.
In today's world, there as been many misconceptions about what Global Warming actually is. The real answer is that Global Warming does exist, but not in the way these green peace officers in visioned. According to the research I found, Global Warming and large amounts of carbon dioxide occurred way before humans even populated the earth. For example, the Miocene Epoch had warmer climate conditions, and the Eocene Epoch had large amounts of radiation. What I am trying to say that the atmosphere naturally warms and cools. To put in perspective, do you honestly think that when Pangea split, that earth's atmosphere was not being heated up in the process. Sure, I do believe the air pollution should be controlled, but not to the point where the government bans everything that is supposedly harmful to the environment.
I don't think we know enough yet to answer your excellent question. Global warming and cooling cycles are a fact. The exact effects man has on them are still theories. Some may prove to be correct. Some will not. We need to keep studying this very important question and stop politicizing it. I believe we need to conserve and get off foreign oil use as much as possible anyway for our economic security, so not much to lose. Reducing pollution is a no brain-er for many reasons other than global warming.
Stop blaming the government and corporations. WE are the ones demanding MORE, MORE, MORE. Of everything.
