Attended Live Earth? What did you think of the show and what message if any did you take away from it?

Hypocrisy on display.
Didn't attend but what I learnt is that noone is interested in actually fixing the problem... we need a switch to geothermal power and we need it now, and yet I'm not hearing any push towards it at all from the greenies. It's the only practical way of solving the increasing climate change problem.
Al Gore and his band of merry musicians have done so much more harm than good for the environment and the movement to prevent global climate change... I'd really like them to just shut up now, they're not scientists and they don't understand what needs to be done or why.
PS I'm not talking about heating/cooling using the earth as a heat sink, I'm talking about drilling down to hot rocks beneath the earth and using that heat to power steam turbines and generate electricity.
thought it was a horrible lie and I think al the smug people who wasted their money on it should get over themselves...
the only message is spend, consume and point the finger at others to do something about the problem while you party and support egomaniacal celebs on their ozone destroying jets...
The message I took away from it was. just a question... How much pollution and energy did they use.. not just in being there, but in traveling to the "gig". and where's the money they raised going to? is it going to? How can you raise money to save the enviroment.. that doesn't make sense. and NO I didn't attend.. I barely knew it was going on. I was busy saving energy by not playing the television, or using the gasoline in my car.
Sorry, this isn't what you were looking for, but maybe an article on how much of a farce it was, would be better... just a thought.

Sorry., but reading another answer reminded me... Global "climate warming" .. whatever you wanna call it... is this for real? or is it just a "phase" the earth is going through. There was the Ice age... and things have warmed since then. I beleive the US and other 1st world countries are doing their part in keeping the enviroment cleaner then it could be... maybe someone should concentrate on those countries that have NO clue. .. Ugh.. ok I'll be quiet now.. sorry for the rant.
I think he gave it his best shot but as you can see there are allot of people calling him allot of names. But i do thank him for trying . I remember when i was young how the sky was so blue and the great lakes was so clean it makes me sick to look at them today . Maybe people like to live in a Sh*t hole i don't know.
